which sites ask for IDs?
drugs and alcohol abuse isn’t just limited to pizza chefs, but chefs in general
the funding likely was for plans they disclosed to the shareholders. its still simethinf they shouldnt pursue because its already on its own a very niche usecase.
for example, they didnt outright produce the desktop case themselves, they handed off production of that essentially to coolermaster.
the handheld gaming case is a niche (repairable laptop owners), in a niche (people who are on their second fw13 board), in a niche(is a gamer), in a niche (willing to trade off performance and size due to board size and slower ram speeds). there is very little momey in that and the project makes sense more for the community than the company itself (which some in the community has already started/finished)
IMO its a waste of time for their in house industrial designers for that. this kind of project should 100% be a community effort. a startup company does not have infinite resources.
the problem is aleays some person in marketing who tries to follow trends. For a good laugh, watch Derbauers recent video from computex about AI products and how many “AI” products were at the show.
part of the reason for that iirc is japan has different laws and management when it comes to it.
in context of steam, its usually because japanese managment to launch games on steam is a different person for global organizations, and is usually incompetent. sometimes, the reason is a tually laws about voice/music licensing rights specific to japan
i mean historically, this isnt new. CPUs and GPUs will always introduce some new compute unit thats highly specific workloads using up die space. take cpu examples like AVX2, AVX512 for example, or Aegia Physx hardware, or Nvidias Tensor units to allow for tech like raytracing/upscaling or all hardwares video decoder/encoders.
Companies will push the changes on their hardware regardless, and they will only remove it if it interferes with a core design of a chip (e.g Intel P/E cores disable AVX512 because E cores do not have AVX512 units) or gets i a point that barely anyone uses it.
if you never want to buy into thia kind of tech, then choose to never buy whoever is the most popular cpu/gpu in a market, because people at the top invent new things to further the gap between them and everyone else, as they are usually first and foremost, publically traded companies.
you would upgrade the processor by upgrading the mainboard (cpu+mobo+heatsink) as a single item. module is used because there are a lot of parts on a framework that can be individually changed (usb ports, screen, battery, webcam, speakers, hinges, bezels)
yes, but the key difference is how its. typically used. reddit/lemmy is generally following specific topics while other forms of social media tend to follow specific people or organizations
so yes, both imo are forms of social media, but brcause of how you interact more with it is different, it feels like it’s not the same.
iirc it was yuzu who linked tools to do it, but the application itself didnt do it. Yuzus main problem was often linking to resources and advertising stuff, and partially locking it behind a paywall.
i mean its not like you cant go onto the mobile store and buy games like stardew valley or terraria. its just that pay to play games have taken a back seat due to the profitability of free to play games.
also to further back the statement, it wasnt because wiiu games were bad, in fact most of the wiiu games ported to switch are top sellers, so no one can make the claim it was a game quality issue.
its because people are too attched to using the native option. Theres nothing stopping people from using 3rd party start bars for years now. Conceptually to me, complaining about the start bar is almost akin to complaining about things in internet explorer, when 3rd party options exists.
Think how agressive Microsoft puts ads in edge. theres absolutely nothing stopping a user from switching browsers to ignore that. Start bar is the same.
iirc its the sale specificly of moddified content. you can do services yourself, but the sale of mod services, content and tools is illegal.
so modding a game, console is okay.
modding to seek profit is not okay.
rivian is a up and coming startup, whose largest push was when they got the contract from amazon to design their EV delivery trucks. so within the next couple of years their portfolio and options will increase, and become cheaper.
some people dont understand the difference between company policy/TOS and Law
the reason why the fallout story is very flexible on a any place no context story is because each individual vault has its own story, and stories are hyper regionalistic. so while all regions may share the same start (nuclear fallout of course) and prewar tech, what happens after is up to the writers imagination, as long as a writer doesnt pick an already existing vault number that already has a rule.
minor lore spoilers ahead: each vault was not built the same, all were a major experiment and had different conditions to see how humanity would adapt to different conditions presented to them.
this is why fallout is super flexible on where a story can start, game, or show wise. for example of something that won’t be in a game or show, Vault 68 was an experiment where what would happen if you put 1 woman, and 999 men in a bunker. Vault 69 was what would happen if you had 1 man, and 999 women in a bunker.
sweeter side, type and preparation doesnt matter to me. I like switching up tea on the regular. (weekly tea routine is between 3 different teas that get swapped all the time)
if you have one and only one opening into your room, id believe setting the fan to exhale is optimal, as the logic would be similar to radial fans in low airflow situations, where in that situation, its ideal to move hot air out.
if you have 2 windows, I think it was one intake. if you have a window and a door (to the rest if the house), placement depends if youre okay with dunping heat into the other part of the house or not.
theres a lot of factors though, as it pertains to the rooms internal pressure and the condition of the air/sunlight outside of the window, as well as how high the window is
