2002 was the ultimate

Because New Years isn’t about boosting sales of consumer goods.

Ham sandwich.
It’s a devised method of trading value for other things of value. It used to be pretty rocks, then precious metals, then pieces of paper, and now it’s bits on computers. As Drew Carey once said, the everything is made up and the points don’t matter anyway. Except when those points are the difference between having a heated home or freezing your ass off in a cardboard box behind a Safeway.

Not even that, contact the respective state DOJ and have them put you on the restricted list.

I can easily differentiate between that frost light blue one and the normal darker blue

I’m lucky that we have a lot of BLM land about 20-30 min away that is open to target shooting. It’s also a great for stress relief. The last thing I’d want is to be in a situation where I’d have to take someone else’s life, but if people in my vicinity are armed, you’re damn right I’m going to be armed.

Drugs generally tend to be a life choice, vehicular transport tends to be a necessity. Yes there are people in cities that have public transit options yet they actively choose to drive, but many of us that live outside of those cities don’t really have that option. You’re not inherently wrong, but it isn’t the linear correlation you’re attempting.

The big one here is sharing the road, which goes both ways. I don’t have an issue with bikes on the road, but most of our small town’s roads are one lane in each direction, and far too many bikes seem to think they’re entitled to hog the entire lane going 15mph and holding up traffic. The rules in this area are for slow traffic to turn off to allow others to pass (both vehicles and bikes), which bikes almost never do. Then you have the clowns that’ll ride 3 across and not let traffic pass, then get aggressive with drivers for honking.
Like yes bikes are legally permitted to use the road, but also be conscious that people have places to be, and your liesure stroll is holding up people from getting to work. Its almost always tourists that bog down the main highway and are jerks about it, most locals that ride bikes tend to stick to the many side streets that run parallel to the highway.
Now where my mom lives in the suburbs, they have the issue of kids on ebikes completely ignoring the rules of the road and causing accidents. These are little entitled rich kids with a big chip on their shoulders and zero supervision, blasting through intersections while ignoring signals, plowing the wrong way down a road, weaving through traffic, etc. Those little shits belong in jail.

I’ve always heard it as the social contrct, but yeah, it’s getting quite close to becoming void. Probably why this admin is ramping up domestic military operations and moving their leadership onto military bases.

I’ve maintained this for a while now: as fucked up and as much of a piece of shit as Trump is, he’s very good at making readily apparent just how screwed up the entire system in the US is across the board and showing even the dumbest among us just how badly we need to change things. Yes his rabid moron followers think the status quo is a good thing because reasons, but the average layman is finally thinking about our country in a new light.

I just tell people to try and find a legal streamable copy of Dogma.

I liken it to hiring a plumber/electrician/carpenter vs figuring it out myself. Instead of using a website on someone else’s computer, I use websites on my own computer.

To give Hollywood some fresh material

Until her practicing law becomes her next TV stunt

Yank here as well, it’s just propaganda period. Misinformation raigebait keeps people glued to their screens, keeps people arguing, and keeps them scrolling past tue advertising. I saw some survey not long ago that said a non insignificant number of people were reporting that their primary source of news was Facebook, and yeah that tracks with this.

You mean his gullible followers didn’t think before they bought them? Shocking.

Honestly a lot of really is putting your phone/computer/whatever away and going outside. A big part of divorcing yourself from screens and tech is figuring out how to fill the gaps of time without them. And it really just boils down to discipline and practice.
They’ll never know the magic (read: virus minefield) that was WinMX, Kazaa, Limewire, etc.
