Welcome to the jungle is a good one if you’re looking for a tech job.

But the truth is you’ll have to slog through the bullshit regardless. It took me 7 months and several hundred applications to find my current job, and I basically only got an interview because my wife works here and her boss knows me and works closely with my boss.

Edit: and I took a physical laborer position at the job so I’d already be in the system. I went from making $130k a year to $15 an hour for 16 hours a week just to get a job making half of what I was making, although there’s serious job security.

  • It’s actually the opposite. After your workout, your body will still be consuming calories above your bmr for some time. If you’re fasting, it’s going to shut that down faster than if you have calories ready for it to burn.

Plus, if you have calories ready to burn, you will be able to have a more productive workout than if your body is having to cannibalize fat for energy.

The goal of exercising in losing weight is not to directly burn fat with a workout. The goal is largely to increase your muscle mass so you’re burning more calories a day just existing.

Unless you’re doing an hour plus HIIT workout, the amount of calories you’re going to burn while working out will be about the equivalent of a candy bar and maybe a soda.
