I just accidentally clicked the “clear all” on the browser URL and wished that it was a bit harder to click but was still there. If it took three clicks to make happen, its still useful in most circumstances but would drastically drop the mistaken clicks
Anyway, what are your unpopular UI opinions?

Your app / website is most likely not big enough to rely on icons instead of text for buttons. Same applies to most other unique UI choices.
This is close to mine (though I don’t think it’s particularly unpopular): if you are using icons, use only universal icons. Floppy disk for save, little kidergarten house drawing for home all legible and totally fine. If you have to make up your own icon for a button action, save yourself the hover/tooltip work and just put text on the button. I don’t want to have guess what two boxes on top of each other with an arrow on the right curving between them is supposed to mean.
