So glad I read this right before bed.
A similar thing happened to me one night. I heard a fluttering in my ear. It was a midge bug, like a fruit fly. It wouldn’t come out, so in a rage I decided I was going to drown the fucker. I filled my ear with water and let it die. It came out after a few flushes with water.
I got one in there now, keeps the place free from flies. Plus now I have a friend /|(◦.◦)/|\
This once happened to me, thankfully for only a few hours rather than days. I woke up one morning to a fwipping noise in my ear, went to the bathroom to see if I could flush it out with water, and a spider just dangled on a line out of my ear.
It was strange, but not really scary. Jumping spiders are harmless to humans, and this one was only a millimeter or so big.
