There’s a bunch of old PC RPGs that did not age well. Like the ones that soft lock you if you failed some event or didnt know some obscure data.
Ultima VII is both one of the best RPGs out there and terribly aged, so this project makes sense.
That said, so much of the innovation that made Ultima VII unique has gradually been added to modern games, so playing it fresh would probably less blow your head beyond the point of historical development.
I still love the story, freedom, music and overall mature themes.
