An indie game developer is set to release a new title, ‘Guns of Fury’, that combines the Run and Gun style from Metal Slug with elements from Metroidvania games.

This blend of retro gaming styles aims to bring players the best of both worlds. Inspired by classic games like Metroid and Castlevania, it promises a unique experience that encompasses multiple genres including action, puzzle-solving, RPG mechanics, and exploration.

Guns of Fury is set to launch on Nintendo Switch and PC in 2024, but the developers haven’t provided a specific release date yet. The game provides a crossover between the adrenaline-pumping Metal Slug series and the intricate narrative-driven Metroidvania genre.
