You are right that the people themselves are the bigger problem and I agree that we will probably end up in fascism again. I’ve been thinking a lot about emmigrating if the AfD ever makes it into the government (seeing how CDU und FDP are warming up to the fascists more and more). But there is nowhere to go cause the whole world is turning more and more fascist and autoritarian.

Either way, the world is so intertwined that anything that happens on a bigger scale will have an impact on you, no matter where you are.
