I got the Eufy S330 doorbell/keypad lock. The kids have their own pin and can lock/unlock without a key. I get notifications when they use it and can remotely lock/unlock via my phone. It’s been fantastic for us.
There’s a song about how it feels when you get your royalty check. I think that’s what it’s about… Cannibal Corpse - Meat Hook Sodomy.

Woah, dial it it back a bit. We’re not talking about racial discrimination or violence. OP said people were talking behind their backs and provided no additional details. If you file a HR complaint just because you saw someone whispering while looking at you, you’re 100% a narc. If you file a racial discrimination lawsuit because you’re a minority and the company isn’t firing people you don’t like, you’re the worst kind of person. If there’s more to the story, OP didn’t share it.
HR exists to protect the company. When you raise a problem to them, you are the one responsible for the problem being put on record. This means you are the problem. Even if you go to HR and they do something about it, you still lose because your coworkers will steer clear of you for being a narc and any chance at a career is pretty much gone. Either work the problem out with your coworkers yourself, ignore it and keep your head down, or find a new job.
The states are beginning to openly disrespect the authority of the federal government. Texas Gov. Abbott directly said he believes Texas State law supercedes federal law. There is no basis for that position in law; the law dictates exactly the opposite. If Texas refuses to respect the authority of the United States of America and the rulings of the Supreme Court, the only way to resolve that is civil war.
There was a very real economic driver for slavery. Totally morally bankrupt, but it’s a reason. This is pure malice for the sake of a culture war.
Bought a house in 2012. It’s now worth almost 3x what I paid for it then. So wildly unfair.
If all around is laid waste and in my last hour, am I a slave to the Power of Death? A SLAAAAAVE TO THE POOOOOOWER OF DEEEEEEEEAEAEAEEAAAATH!
https://notion.so It’s a web-based editor with a good android app. Has basic formatting, plugins/integrations, and dark mode. It’s free for individual use cases. Has some nice paid features for collaboration and business use cases, though the free plan still allows sharing and concurrent editing.
E: noticed this is in self hosted after posting. Maybe not what you’re looking for, but it’s a good service if you’re ok with that.
No. It was already widely used, discreetly. She was the first to popularize using it cranked up to 11 as an intentional style choice. It’s more apt to say she gave us T-Pain.
Getting baptized. Before then, I felt no spiritual connection or “heard the voice of god” or anything. I understood that once I was baptized, I’d be one of god’s children and I assumed the holy stuff would kick in after that point. Funny thing though, nothing changed. No matter how hard I prayed or tried to believe, nothing was different.
I spent several years trying to find literally anything to show that any of it was real. But everything lead to the same dumbfounding dead end: you just have to have faith.
As I learned more about Christianity from a scholarly perspective, it became increasingly clear that it’s not real. The oldest book in the new testament wasn’t written until at least a hundred years after the events took place, meaning it was all disparate verbal stories for hundreds of years. The Council of Nicea later just decided to remove parts and add some new parts to the bible, justifying it by the council itself being divinely inspired to have arrived at the correct version of the bible.
It’s clear now that the rich and powerful have historically used religion as a tool to control and manipulate the masses. With the benefit of hindsight, it’s just an obvious scam that has no basis in reality. So for that reason, I’m out.
It made you feel something. Now sit there quietly and think about why that is. What are you getting frustrated with? Why is it bothering you? Unfounded rage is trying to tell you something about yourself. There’s a reason, but you have to be able to be honest with yourself to figure out what it is. Once you can begin to understand it, you can begin to find ways to manage it.
I’m an Envy Code R fan myself.
A humanitarian pause… you mean like the UN resolution calling for a temporary ceasefire that the US vetoed?
It’s not that simple, at all. Who pays the office rent? The insurance premiums? The corporate taxes? Buying equipment? Paying for time off? Etc.
