I’m sure they probably could but they don’t really have the incentive to add support for them.

I’m sure they probably could but they don’t really have the incentive to add support for them.
I’m an older GenZ born in the late 90s and I’ve had to show a few younger peers how to torrent recently.
The idea of you needing a “special” program just for downloading a file seems to throw some of them off.
I do know a few young people are tech/programming wizards but “generally tech savy” people seem to be declining. It’s either you’re really into it or barely know anything outside popular apps.
One other thing I’ve noticed, People just seem to be more paranoid about downloading stuff not already installed on their devices. Which its good people give at least a bit of a shit about security but convincing people Firefox isn’t a virus gets a bit annoying (Yes I’ve had that conversation).
It’s kinda weird I could understand the habit a decade or two ago when computers were still mainly using harddrives and some were just…slow hunks of junk.
But the majority of my peers I know who keep their PCs on for weeks or months at a time, All run at least a Sata SSD for the boot drive.
I’m gonna hope it’s a troll.
But some people are really weird about “owning” games. The other day I was in a call with someone who spend hours hunting through dodgy key selling sites to buy a delisted Steam game at nearly twice the price…
And yes I told them where else they could get it but they cared more about having the game appear on their Steam list than actually playing it.
It’s also near impossible to get real controllers here in the UK.
PS3 controllers still remain my favourite but had to switch to using a PS4 pad after getting scammed at multiple places.
Big businesses couldn’t care less about where the money comes from as long as it ends up in their pockets.
Only thing stopping them from sending hired thugs to your house to shake the change out your pockets is the law. And even then they might try if the profit outweighs the penalty.
Can you remember the last version that worked for you? A quick workaround could be downloading an older build off the github.
Still this is extremely disappointing and hopefully someone forks it.
This goes for any content not just piracy sites. Just the other day I seen someone I watch delete half of their videos but luckily I had downloaded everything.
There’s a bunch of stuff from Youtube alone I can’t see again because I didn’t download it when I had the chance…
Funnily Metallica was the first thing 11yo me pirated after some older student told me about uTorrent/PirateBay.
Same guy also sent me some Slayer and Entombed over bluetooth. Hope he’s doing good these days.
To my fellow Brits, a VPN is NOT optional at this point you’re just putting yourself at unnecessary risk.
Mullvad is £50 for a whole year, and you can pay by mailing cash to their office or buying a gift card so it’s not directly tied to your bank account.
And where in the world you live.
I got a friend in Australia with a pretty similar storage setup to me, but he’s paid about 1.5x as much as I did in the UK.
Yeah pretty much.
Unless you want to build your own car from the ground up, which you can do in most places if it passes safety regulations. But that takes time, money, workspace and knowing what you’re even doing.
Rules for thee but not for me
I actually noticed something similar the other day when looking for Red Dead Redemption PS3 on Vimm’s I got given.
‘Download unavailable at the request of the Entertainment Software Association’
I ain’t gonna say it’s as easy as Windows but I personally haven’t had too much trouble running cracked games using the Lutris launcher.
Lutris also lets you show logs by right click on the game, So if you get an error while playing or loading it gives you something to look up.
Also you can ask for help over at /c/[email protected]
Welcome to the club!
Not only that but the original mixes of albums often don’t get put on streaming platforms because of licensing bullshit or whatever.
And especially for rock and metal the newer remasters of popular albums tend to be pretty bad and overly compressed or have weird post EQ added.
‘It’s not fair that we keep getting scammed and others don’t’
So just don’t give them money next time?
‘LALALALA I can’t hear you, it’s your fault not mine LALALALA’
I use uBlock but every now and then Twitch ads start slipping through, They normally go back to being blocked with the next uBlock update.
It’s a real cat and mouse game.
Truly Spain without the S
My buddy in Spain says the block it pretty easier to get around at least.
Not only that but the physical phones themselves are dumping features while charging the same or often increased prices…
My current phones literally being held together with tape but wanting a current phone with an SD card and headphone jack has seriously limited my options.
