Just got my first one a while back, I bought it 2nd hand and it’s 7 years older than me and works better than any lighters I’ve borrowed off people over the years.
Replacement parts and even completely new lighter inserts still fit the original cases from the 1940s until now. And if something does break beyond you ability to repair, They got a lifetime warranty with no proof of purchase needed!
Started playing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 again after being disappointed by the “remaster” which was just a THPS 3 and 4 map-pack without all the maps and a premium price tag…
Kinda did it backwards since I actually replayed THPS4 again after they announced the original single player mode wouldn’t be in 3+4 >.>
I play on my Linux desktop or SteamDeck, upscaled to my monitors native resolution, 60fps+ patches if available/needed at all.
I mainly play PS2/3 era stuff with some earlier games now and then. I try to go out of my play what’s considered “the best” version of any given game and emulate that if possible. But ideally I’d go for the native PC port if it’s not terrible.
For me I care more about playing good games rather than trying to capture nostalgia. Most older titles I play nowadays I don’t even have any nostalgia for since it’s my first time playing a lot them.
Also I’ll play Remasters if they’re overall considered good and don’t take anything away from the original game, But I’ve been burned on bad remasters more times than not.
I should seek them out next time I’m in London.
Only arcade I had growing up in the North was at the back of a casino. I put all my Nans slot winnings into Fast and Furious or Time Crisis.

I sadly didn’t play much LCS back then (despite loving GTA 3) but VCS was my PSPs main game when I was in high school.
If you’re a fan of the 3D era Grand Theft Auto games but never played the Stories games, do yourself a favour.
They’re also playable on PS2 but both versions have trade offs even if you’re emulating.
The PSP versions are a lot smoother to emulate and can be modded to support the right analog stick and 60fps but the render distance is a lot worse.
The PS2 versions doesn’t seem to emulate as well can keep a stable 30fps but the 60fps patch available on PCSX2 just makes my fps drop below 30 more times than not. even after overclocking the EE Cycle Rate. like suggested.
PS2 version of LCS in particular also has some heavy handed colour filtering which some people say fits the “vibe” better. But I never liked it.

People complaining people are only doing this to follow a trend are completely right. BUT! some of those trend chasers might actually stop and think about the message, and might realized we’re all being scammed by modern tech/software companies.
I ain’t expecting some mass protest or anything, but it’s at the very least a small handful more people giving a shit about their relationship with technology. As apposed to most who just throw their information and money at any sign-up page that asks.
You’d be surprised how many people nowadays just leave random shows or movies on in the background while they’re on their phones.
Even my Dad does it, I ask what he’s watching on Netflix, etc and half the time he has to check even tho he was the one who clicked on it in the first place…
