ml and Hexbear definitely don’t have the same users. Their comments look very different. Hexbear is far more extreme in every way.
Our universe has certain laws and rules of nature. You could call that code. You could call that simulation too.
The question is what even is the difference between a “simulation” and a “reality”? That you believe that it’s real? And does it even matter?
If you put on a VR headset you’re technically in a simulation, but you can also experience emotions and feelings just like “reality”.
I have never verified 99% of the knowledge I read in textbooks either. But aside from math little in the textbooks held much truth. Especially the economy books.

Many people live on a schedule. When you can automate things according to that schedule it’s nice.
M2 isn’t much more expensive than HDDs anymore. It used to be five times times the cost. Now maybe 1.5 to 2 times. And they require a lot less space and no dedicated backplane with seperate power.
Also you need redundancy. A 20TB hdd is very expensive and usually very overkill. Rebuilding them takes very long if you ever have corruption issues, along with other problems.
It’s better to have three smaller drives than a single 20TB one.
Unless you’re running an actual datacenter with cooling and big rack space, m.2 is a likely more worth it these days for a small home NAS.
M2 is getting so cheap that having a drive spinning all day can add up in electricity whereas m2 is a lot more efficient.

Oh thanks. Sometimes ml posts end up on my world feed but the comments look normal and have many world users.
When I read about people getting banned from ml for posting what they post on world I wonder if the ml mods ban world users in those posts at random or I am missing something.
