I think it’s just easier to be honest and not lie to someone to their face in real life. The ability to have your facial expressions be read and having to respond in a timely manner or admit you’re not sure is much more likely to make people argue in an honest manner

I think it’s a group of YouTubers who generally tend to lean leftist and make video essays, I think. According to another comment it’s an exonym too which means it wasnt actually anybody within the group to give themselves that label so I’m starting to think it’s pretty much meaningless

My father actually bakes bread and kinda taught me how to, although only insofar as teaching me ingredients and how to configure the machine. I do hope to learn to make it by hand someday though, his recipe Is really good

I don’t think see why you’d need a bluesky-hosted account for that. I think it’s just showing .bsky.social as placeholder since statistically, most people have their handle hosted on bluesky and a handle can look like any valid domain.

I don’t really know the extent of their independence as there are at least 3 parts to how ATproto works and they can all be hosted independently (so for example, an “independent” instance might still rely on Bluesky for part if it’s functionality), however it is true that there’s quite a few ATproto services popping up!
