I have been playing games since 1980 or so and never have trouble picking up new games to play. Gamepass is awesome that way, I get to try a host of new games each month and one or two stick for weeks, months or longer. I almost never go back to previous games, apart from expansions of course.

‘Cum-Ex’ is Latin - and it means ‘with without’. In essence, it’s a massive stock trading scam by bankers, brokers, hedge funds, international tax firms, investment companies, lawyers and insurance companies. By acting as promoters to help their clients get a refund for a tax they never actually paid for, they have defrauded EU member states by billions of euros. This rapid trading of shares with (cum) and without (ex) dividend rights thus gave rise to the scandal of the same name.

They are definately not fair. But fair is not an economic or political quantifyable term. Slavery wasn’t fair either.

What is just or not changes with times and societies. If there is political capital to be made by making reparations then they make sense. If the public disagrees they can and will vote out those responsible. For better or for worse that’s our system.

We have come to fundamentally different insight into the psyches of the rich and the ultra rich. There’s a reason I say that for me they might as well be adiiferent species, we’ll see in the fullness of time how this develops. Both the system and the individual in it can be problem. Glossing over an, in my mind, fundamental difference is a mistake. But that’s my opinion of course. It’s clear you do not get my argument and that’s that.

Oh, it was bad already. But what most people do not realize how far removed from the “real” world that you, me and yes-millionaires inhabit the multibillionaires are. The “out of touch” elite of the old rich and powerful did exist in the same framework we did. The megarich do not.
