I have scores hidden and block at the first sign of asshattery, say what you gotta say in the first.
“Your boos mean nothing, I’ve seen what makes you cheer.”
i somehow had both populous and black n white when i was a child too young figure out how to play.
oh yah what a choice of direction.
i put on ghibli films when i want to distract children so maybe that’s who they’re appealing to.
you mean these animations aren’t real? wtf?
right? now i wanna go see the high up waterpipe.
hopefully this doesn’t become itself a platform for brigades as all the others have.
Still not touchscreen, I’ll pass.
Cool tho, 13 is pretty much the perfect size for me.
a used thinkpad is a solid bet
My friends and I were trying to figure out how to set up an isolated WWW resistant to censorship and found identi.ca.
We set up an instance but never federated and used to to send memes to each other for years.
I did create an account on one of the federating services but it was rough back then. No one was tagging their post languages so it was like 10 or so different languages mixed together. I loved it.
It was identi.ca, I join about a year after the flagship server started. https://cosocial.ca/@evan/112457047627977316
I remember getting a lot of posts i couldn’t read because language tagging wasn’t a thing. it was great.
nah, those get flooded with low quality posts from mastodon.
whenever i post a photo i check my local feed and favorite all the posts. all of them.
zzz no mention of fedivision.
Nearly one-in-five tweets are no longer publicly visible on the site just months after being posted. In 60% of these cases, the account that originally posted the tweet was made private, suspended or deleted entirely. In the other 40%, the account holder deleted the individual tweet, but the account itself still existed.
oh nice that marks my 15 year fediversary
i have no problem with the concept of more than one website.
i vote no on federate all the things.
There are surveillance reasons you’ll want hosting in the US.
I know they were already in the process of the 501c but that’s really gotta come as a bummer.
They’ll lose a lot of donors in the EU if they can’t keep that non-profit status.
Are they? Who’s doing that sociology stunt?
