Yes, every video you download or stream is actually compressed quite a lot, the bitrate just determines how much compression is applied. Higher bitrate means the file is bigger and less compression is done, while low bitrate means the video has a lot less bits to store all that data and so has to do more compression.
I use Geddit occasionally, I don’t know if it supports voting or commenting though since I just browse.
Gamescope generally helps with alt+tab issues.

Sounds kinda like NixOS, although that’s not platform-agnostic.
You can also run the game at 1080p and use FSR to upscale it to native resolution, that’s what I often do on my 4k monitor.

I get caught up on Subscribed - New and make sure I’ve seen everything, and then if I’m still bored I’ll go to All - Top Day or 12 hour, and then if I’ve seen most of those I go down to Top 6 hour
It was really cool seeing comments and upvotes change in real time, but I understand it was buggy and terrible for server performance and I’m glad it’s better and more stable now.

Ah yeah it shows up as a user not a community. I think if you search the URL of one of their posts you can see the community it’s posted in and subscribe to that.
If you copy the URL of one of their posts and paste it into the search bar of your Lemmy instance (you might need to refresh a couple times, and make sure the filter is set to all), then you should be able to view what community it’s posted in on your Lemmy instance and subscribe to it as normal. Then all new posts should automatically sync to your Lemmy instance and show up as a post. I subscribed to a Peertube channel this way and it worked.

I think the difference is one of them auto filters to only communities and one searches for all types, that was a bit hard for me to notice at first
As a new user on sh.itjust.works this has been my experience as well. It also seems like just pasting the link to the community causes the search to find it as well, which can be a bit more convenient than typing out the bang. Even pasting the link to a comment from a different community procs the search to find it. It is weird that it doesn’t show up the first time and you have to redo the search though.
