But it literally it was on the news for a day, that’s it.
Protests go on for multi days and have a physical effect and achieve discomfort.
Meanwhile, I don’t see the speech achieving a lot of that.
Huh?
If you wanna checkup some more tech articles websites that does not have paywalls:
A lot of non-profits I listed focus on in-depth articles and investigations.
Example: https://themarkup.org/investigations/2025/02/13/dating-app-tinder-hinge-cover-up
Donations and grants?
I don’t get your comment in relation of the listed news websites.
Some of them is non-profit and it’s working well for them.
404media is corporate news outlet.
They have paywalls and ads.
If you are looking for good tech websites, I think Markup, Coda Story, Tech Policy Press, Spacebar, Knight First Amendment Institute, Libre News, 9to5Linux and Sifted might be more suitable for you.
Pretty close, but they are focused on news articles and they kind of function more like Reddit than a news report platform.
I mean a website where people do it, I might contribute if I could.
On windows you got a enterprise or LTS equivalent to get the important updates.
You don’t get that on Lemmy.
0.18.3? That got released at 2023-07-28?
That is really bad for the Lemmy instances.
Everyone should care?
If a post violates community rules, you can report it, which will help bring it to their attention more-quickly.
I report some posts and they never get a mod action.
You could volunteer to moderate a community that you feel is undermoderated, which will help decrease the load on the existing moderators.
Would you trust a 1 week account to moderate any community? Simply that is not something feasible for me.
They usually hit the front page.

Even the current ask Lemmy community have posts that should be removed, but for a reason or another they didn’t.
Actually no, I spent my time on earth thinking and practicing the best ethics I could, even in sometimes if it meant I will lose.
Currently, I don’t see any reason to continue to do so.
As I said before, I did not get anything from doing good and I only lost by doing it.
Evil society exists, if the good has to be done, then why should I be the one to do it?
I guess you did not watch The platform and that is why you commented with what you commented, so let me put it simply.
The people who are above me will always be as harsh as they can, the people in my same class will get the tit for tat treatment in order for us to be able to get the max benefit from each other and the class who are lower than me would not get any space in my mind, just like I won’t get any space in their minds.
I spent my current age doing good and that earned me zero returns and some losses and I know a lot of people who had a similar experience to me.
No one even feels greatful for the good I do.
Respectfully your argument does not hold up for me.
How so? I had not see any measurable awareness growth.
I really don’t see any point in it.
