Neat. I wish more people would migrate to Mastodon. I’ve never been a big Twatter guy, but there’s a handful of people I’d like to see updates from who are trapped by their following there.

Look, I agree they suck, but video games being slightly worse isn’t the worst thing about the 21st century.
I’m not sure if it’s inherently bigoted, but it is poor grammar.
Curious what you think the issues with AP are. Other than the nature of the fediverse being confusing to new users (not sure which instance to sign up for, etc), I haven’t had any issues with it. I would like to see community syncing between instances for more seamless discovery, though.
Inventing a scenario that I don’t agree with and claiming that I do agree with it. Classic.
I’m guessing you also think that, in order for hate speech to be stopped, we have to allow puppies to be slaughtered en masse. Puppy murderer!
I’m as far left as left goes, but yes even her vile drivel is protected by the first amendment. That’s the whole point.
He misunderstood. We wanted him to have been aborted.
Why would you trust random people on lemmy over a basic resource like Wikipedia?
I’m not particularly worried about it. I can block them if they annoy me. And on the bright side, their large user base may help make the Fediverse mainstream enough to topple the tech giants.

Ah, hadn’t thought of that, good call. I buy old Macs and fix them up.
Updates to macOS are free; the hardware sales make that possible.
Updates to third-party apps like MS Office and Adobe are entirely at the discretion of that vendor (both of those are likely subscription-only at this point).
LibreOffice is available for macOS, yes.
I think Oracle’s VirtualBox is still free for emulation. You can also use Boot Camp to install Windows natively for dual-booting.
I’ve gone wakeboarding in Morgan Hill and snowboarding in Tahoe on the same weekend. :-)
Cheesy gordita crunch. But only if the gordita and taco shell aren’t fucking stale, which they are 80% of the time.
FYI Nexctloud supports webdav.
I run it and mariaDB in docker and they run perfectly when left alone, but everything breaks horribly if I try to do an update. I recently figured out that you need to do updates for NC in steps, and docker (unRAID’s, specifically) defaults to jumping to the latest version. I think I figured out how to specify version now so fingers crossed I won’t destroy it the next time I do updates.
You can just temporarily disable iMessage in Settings > Messages.
I eat a lot of meat and have confirmed with people that I don’t smell (I don’t wear deodorant). Diet can play a part I’m sure, but meat isn’t it.
I just installed Pop!_OS on my Late-2011 and had to manually install broadcom drivers, maybe this will help.

I’m not sure if the first link’s steps were necessary to enable the second step or not. And of course this is for Pop, so the Gentoo equivalent for Pop Shop, but I imagine there’s generally driver compatibility between linux distros?
