Voyager. It’s an Apollo like client.
I agree. Lemmy is not Twitter like, it is Reddit like, it is a forum.
I think we are now in a positive cycle:
Windows 7. And I would hope for the mighty superhero penguin Linux to save me.
It reminds me of Fallout.
Ottawa’s city council declared the city as the ‘Shawarma Capital of Canada’. I think these goats will serve the city well. The news: https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/ottawa-is-the-shawarma-capital-of-canada-council-declares-1.6830648
Nevertheless, they will need legal guidance to navigate this issue. These Lemmy instances are run by volunteers.
This sort was introduced in Lemmy 0.19:
A new scaled sort option has been added. This sort is identical to the Hot sort, but also takes into account the number of each community’s active monthly users, and so helps to boost posts from less active communities to the top.

Not a good comparison. With Steam, you download the games to your computer. If Valve ever went out of business, they could unDRM the games, or you could crack them.
Either way, you download the games onto your computer. That’s not the case with Funimation.
Buying a digital copy of something you cannot download is an oxymoron. It only makes sense if you subscribe to a service.
I just love how professional the Lemmy instances have become. They went from having stability issues to being extremely stable. I love our Lemmy community.
Keep up the good work!
It’s good to be a Canadian :)
Run them in Bottle, then disable internet access for the games.
My take, be pragmatic. I still go to my city and career subreddit because that’s where I get my city news and career advice. And I’m in Lemmy because it really does feel like the Reddit of 2008-2014 and I love it here.
Read my post about how reddit went from just 85,000 users in 2008 to 500 million active users in 2023: https://old.lemmy.ca/post/2780188. Reddit didn’t grow overnight. It took 15 years to grow to where it is now.
Also, check if your instance has a Status page and bookmark it.
That is the beauty of the Fediverse. If you don’t like how an instance is run, you can easily switch to another instance in Lemmy 0.19. We need to think of Lemmy instances as countries with their own laws, culture, and policies. So in my opinion, if you don’t like how an instance is run, you can easily switch to another instance.
Sound advice. During my first year of computer science, one of my professors told me that programming languages are just a tool to solve a problem. The logic to solve it is the key. Whether it’s Java, Python, Go, etc. If you don’t know how to tell the computer what to do, you can’t program anything in any language.
