I used Apollo for Reddit on my phone. The dev was very active in the subreddit, and using Apollo truly felt like being a member of a club. When they shut down the API access, Christian, the dev, tried to negotiate with them to keep the app alive. Not only was Reddit not negotiating in good faith, but they actively lied about the interactions. Unfortunately for them, Christian produced the receipts that made them look like idiots. (But they apparently couldn’t care less.) I went looking for alternatives and found Lemmy. Voyager is “heavily inspired” by Apollo (which means it’s almost a carbon copy), and scratches the itch. Now, with PieFed, I’m even more happy here.
Same problem. Hoping for a fix.

I’m not sure about New Year’s Eve, but New Year’s Day is a big day for tradition with my wife. We always have pork, greens, and black eyed peas every New Year’s Day. It’s some sort of old tradition.
(When I made this post with voice dictation, it capitalized Black Eyed Peas, so I guess it thought that I was going to have Fergie and the boys over. 🤔)

He asked about Mastodon, and Voyager is a Lemmy/Piefed client. Unless I’m mistaken, it doesn’t do Mastodon.
Just a simple one, but the Calendar app. Being able to see and add to my schedule any time and place is invaluable.
Most Bluetooth earbuds are good enough for me, but I bit the bullet and bought a pair of AirPod Max used on eBay (I couldn’t justify spending retail, but I got a good deal on a pair of very good quality used ones). While they are Bluetooth, the sound quality is absolutely amazing, so I don’t miss the headphone jack.

Don’t sleep on Blorp for iOS.
Thanks for this, and I did try it. It sort of worked, I had 400 and change subscriptions, and it got like 180 of them. The rest errored out. I don’t know if that means they’re inactive or just not able to be transferred.
Yep. You can export your subscriptions through the settings, and then import them into a new instance.
I was afraid of that. That’s going to be a major hurdle in getting anyone who’s already established on Lemmy or Piefed to move over to Mbin.
Okay, dumb question…
I signed up for an Mbin instance some time ago, but I never used it. I couldn’t find a way to import my subscriptions from Lemmy, and I didn’t want to have to manually subscribe 1 by 1. I went back to look, and I still can’t find a way.
Am I just missing it, or does it not exist?
Okay, because that makes a big difference too.
Did she?

Yeah, it connects to all the Lemmy instances, but it seems way more mature already (and it’s still relatively new). Development has been quick and it already has more features than Lemmy. Most of the major instances have deployed Piefed instances, here’s a list of them.

I can do ya one better - I’m on Piefed and I can see it. 👀

I came here to say “this one”, but I now believe that you are correct, sir.
Wasn’t this a '50s monster movie?
