Yep, that’s how we spell it.
Yep, that’s how we spell it.
It’s most commonly used to refer to the USA.
Kind of well-known these days, but also obscure as we literally don’t know who made it or even what it’s called: “The most mysterious song on the internet”
Hearing from my parents about the shitty, uncertain times they’ve already been through. Like the threat of nuclear annihilation during the Cold war, the division of Germany, various economic crises… everything was eventually followed by better times. Will everything work out in the long run? Who knows. But I don’t think we’re on some kind of linear path where everything will just get worse, forever.
Pretty sure both chains offer vegan pizzas. So then it’s only an atrocity against Italian cuisine (not because it’s vegan, but because you could’ve chosen a proper pizzeria).
I’ve only eaten at Pizza Hut once and it was in Shanghai, in 2008. It was fine. Never had Domino’s. There are excellent Italian pizzerias all over Europe, so I never feel the need to go for a chain.
Definitely unethical. Domestic cats are already a huge problem for wild bird populations. Why would you want to intentionally make that problem even worse?
Moondrop Chu 2 earphones. I use expensive Hifi gear at home, but those are more than good enough on the go while also being cheap enough for me not to have to worry about them getting damaged or stolen.
Nothing really. Someone else already wrote that Android is technically Linux. But you can also get “regular” Linux on mobile devices, it’s just a matter of using a distribution with mobile-friendly UI as well as getting driver support for the phone’s hardware. Ubuntu touch exists for example, but only works on a limited number of devices and even on supported devices it’s not really suitable for the average user yet.
There is an article about him on Know Your Meme. Apparently it’s just a character some guy on Twitter made.
By and large I support them, including the ones doing more “direct” action. However, not every group calling themselves “environmental” are automatically getting my support. Some are choosing the wrong targets (e.g. Nuclear power, GMOs), others the wrong means (pouring sauces over art is just weird and not related to the environment). Greenpeace in particular is often quite misguided in their positions and actions IMO.
He went to Japan, married and became a rice farmer. You can visit his grave in Shingo, Aomori Prefecture.
Honestly, I’ve heard or read very little about Iraq after the war, so I have no idea what happened there since then. Unfortunately I think the country is still mostly being associated with war and crisis here in Germany. I think it’s a very interesting place especially for its ancient history though. Some of the first highly developed civilizations arose there. Would love to visit places like Ur, Babylon or Nineveh one day.
Only thing I can think of are maybe the catching mechanics (which are straight out of Legends: Arceus). No idea if these would be considered unique enough to be patentable, guess we’ll find out.
I frequently wear a flatcap.
I’ve been playing the new Guild Wars 2 expansion “Janthir Wilds”. Very enjoyable, with a nice setting and soundtrack.
I’ve bought Spin Rhythm XD on the recent Steam Sale. Quite a nice rhythm game, with excellent native Steam Deck support.
I’ve also been giving Deadlock a go. So far hasn’t really clicked for me though. Doesn’t help that I’m not a big MOBA player, the only one I’ve enjoyed so far is Heroes of the Storm.
I don’t actually know, but in my mind the audience most likely to watch those cruel “pranks” and find them funny are kids or teenagers themselves.
Also games and console collecting for me. Just not fun with today’s prices. I guess on the upside my collection is now worth way more than what I paid for it. Not that I’m planning to sell.
Sometimes it’s okay to just disagree. With a topic like AI, the effectiveness of arguments against it will vary heavily depending on one’s subjective opinion on things like intellectual property, what is and isn’t art, how we should deal with emerging technologies etc.
Germany: The Munich agreement is well known and taught as part of the failed appeasement policy of Western states towards Nazi Germany. Don’t think we learned about the Bengal famine.
