The DD was a really good idea from Nintendo, but using floppy disks instead of just regular CDs was a big oversight. Classic Nintendo bending over dollars to pick up pennies in an effort to prevent piracy.
If he hated it then why didn’t he change it? Who would have questioned him, the guy had nearly unreigned power and could have easily changed it. I never said Hitler was a socialist. He was just selfish (among other unsavory things).
Regardless, since this is quite offtopic I will refrain from posting further here. Perhaps if a future topic arises we may meet again in that thread.
I mean, they were against capitalism, and advocated the nationalization of services like health care and public transportation. These are socialist values. They even claimed many Christians were political enemies of Germany.
Granted, later on it would likely be more accurate to call them “Hitlerists,” because Hitler literally didn’t care about socialism or nationalism and used them only as a stepping stool to get what he wanted. But the point still stands that their values that got their party to popularity were socialist in nature.
This is true, but labelling everyone you don’t like or don’t agree with a “Nazi” (or “Communist/Socialist” if you’re politically right) is not very intelligent. [Interesting fact, Nazis were actually socialists. The term Nazi is a shortened version of the german term for National Socialist, which is part of their full name: National Socialist Workers Party of Germany.]
Being targetted by everyone probably does mean you did something wrong. That’s why actual, real Nazis ARE targetted by everyone.
As many as you want. A story feels “woke” when the character’s skin color is important to their creation, or if their inclusion in the story feels forced. Nobody complains about Mr. T being in the A Team or Samuel L Jackson playing Mace Windu in Star Wars, because those characters do not feel like their inclusion was forced. Their race didn’t really matter to their character or story, and their dialogue and acting was equally as good as everyone else’s. Basically, those characters didn’t feel like they were there to check a box, they felt like they were always supposed to be there from the beginning, black skin or not.
Sometimes, its contextual. For example, a story taking place in medieval Europe could potentially have a black person in it, but any more than one or two would probably feel forced. When thinking about medieval Europe, black people did exist but they were not a common sight. A person who is interested in that kind of story would expect the vast majority of the story’s characters to be white Europeans, and there might be one or two characters that aren’t.
Another point to keep in mind is that a fantasy world doesn’t need to follow the rules of current society. In your story, slavery could be legal, or the age of consent could be 403 years old. It doesn’t matter because is a made up world, a fantasy. Fantasy doesn’t always mean ideal or perfect, and I would argue that the best fantasy settings are the ones that you wouldn’t want to live in on a daily basis. An imperfect world, where people suffer from.various things, give a good backdrop to explore various types of stories that are relatable enough to a person without being too real. A fantasy story’s general purpose is simply to provide people with a temporary escape from reality, so if they start seeing things which remind them of reality such as social political talking point, they may be less inclined to feel like they can escape, and thus will have a negative view of the world you created.
Its pretty unusual to have lube techs doing any diagnosis, but did she ask him if he likes chocolate milkshakes? Because That’s exactly what you create when you mix water in engine oil. Just don’t drink it.
If you find yourself overfilling often, or if you are in the business and do heavy line work like I did (engine/transmission replacements and overhauls), just save yourself the time and get a fluid evacuator. If you overfill something you can pump a bit back out, they make them with pneumatic attachments or with a handpump that looks a bit like a bicycle tire air pump. Shove the little feed tube down the dipstick and pump whatever you need to back out.
EDIT: Fluid Evacuator
I mean, you don’t HAVE to. But you can pour some oil into the filter to pre-fill it so the oil doesn’t have to pump so long for the air you cycle out of the system, but the amount of time that happens for is so small it basically doesn’t matter. If the oil filter is easy to access and faces upward (the solid part faces the floor and open part faces up) then I would do it, but I wouldn’t do it in any other circumstance just to not have oil spilling and making a mess everywhere.
Youre not going to blow up the engine if you don’t. But it gives some people better peace of mind.
Automechanic for 10 years here.
No. A little over the max fill line on the dipstick isnt going to hurt it. 1/8 of an inch overfilled or less is okay.
Usually if you don’t prefill the oil filter and only add what they say then sometimes it can be a little under. Its not a big deal.
Way too much and you risk damaging piston rings or flooding, but you really have to fill it to the point its spilling from the dipstick tube.
If I was actually kidnapped, would you kill the guy for me?
This is a pretty massive red flag right here, IMO. I wouldn’t stick around any person that asks this question. If a person is kidnapped there are like a million other steps you can take that lead to the kidnapper rotting in jail and the victim’s SO not being put in jail for murder.
For some reason I can’t help but think this looks a little bit derivative of Illusion City for the MSX Turbo R.
Not European, but I think they might not use PSI since that’s Pounds per Square Inch. I believe they use Pascals/ Bar.
I didn’t say anything about how it started, I said what it means as it pertains to aesthetics, which was what I felt was the primary root of the question.
Never
Typically speaking in the aesthetic sense, _punk means taking a certain look to its extreme. Cyberpunk of course infusing everything with computer technology, steampunk infusing everything with the looks of a steam powered machine, etc.
Starfield was described once as having its aesthetic “NASApunk,” which sounded really cool to me when I heard it. I expected white and black, gold foil, etc. Which isn’t really how the end product ended which was a bit disappointing, but the point remained that calling it “NASApunk” had me immediately expecting a certain aesthetic.
In the case of Frostpunk, I am not sure. It takes place in a frozen world, but it doesn’t have an aesthetic to fit that name so it may just be a title.
Im pretty sure none of Jupiters moons would survive. But I suppose if they did perhaps they would change classification from moon to planet, but I think planet classification now also depends on size, so depending on size they still may not qualify. I don’t know if any of Jupiter’s moons are larger thaan Pluto, Ceres, etc.
Maybe, but this doesn’t seem to be a product made for businesses. It looks like a product designed for hobbyists.
This is cool but not for $200. That’s way overpriced for something this underpowered.
The Colecovision is basically the Intellivisions cooler cousin.
