I almost achieved this. I had the master system adapter instead of the 32x. Does that count?

For me, this controller (neo Geo pad) worked so much better than anything else out there at the time, short of an arcade stick. The directional pad is what I wish all others would at least attempt to do, rather than four individual buttons.
