I interpreted it as directed at me and my comment, because you wrote it as a reply to my comment, rather than a reply to the article.
The rest… i will leave you with that. I still disagree with your perspective.
Why not both?
I’m not sure why your response is so hostile against my support of the idea, or why you make so many unfounded assumptions.
How do you know I don’t raise my voice against those views in public? And I never said anything about such spaces being “zones out of sight”, that was your addition. I didn’t say that this article’s idea was the limit of what I support.
Sure it could be “even better”… literally any idea could be even better. But if you attack everything less than perfection, we will never get anywhere.
Would be great for more sports (and cities) to offer spaces like this.
I agree with the article, but i hate the way the author just admits defeat at the end. “I hate everything about it! But i won’t realistically leave. And actually you can keep doing it all, just let me hide hotels pretty please”. Ugh.
I can’t claim I’ve managed anything more, beyond periodically re-testing the alternatives, but i just hate to see it written., Feels like it undermines the whole argument when they make clear that Google will see no consequence.
The biggest hurdle for me, is that many businesses and other points of interest are missing in the alternatives. And if not missing, then useful data like opening hours, reviews, etc aren’t there.
But i hate every moment i spend in Google Maps due to the advertising and bad UX, and I will jump ship as soon as something comes even close (on Android).
Maybe because it’s using “slams” in the title.
I’m still on my first class with sorc (56), and i can already say, there has to be a more fun game within one of the other classes. After the campaign ends I probably won’t keep playing to find out though, tbh.
The whole point of that phrase is that it’s a curse.
I want to use the same (synced) browser across all my OS’s, so the main reason I stopped using Firefox is because their Android tablet UX sucks.
Vivaldi works great though on all my devices and I’m super happy with it.
I’m 55 and still don’t have the horse :( I’m in Act 3
That sounds like mine! When i said “just awful”, i meant that with the highest admiration and respect for transsexual transylvanian Tim Curry.

Exactly, i didn’t know that either. I mean i can beeline it across the empty map directly to the markers already showing where i need to be, but i felt that goes against the exploratory design of the open world (vs D2 teleporting you to the next major hub). I felt like i was supposed to organically and slowly make my way there, but first i wanted to finish the zones i was already in. Plus i always played Diablo like this, i am neurotic about uncovering the whole map area! It’s like those powerwash simulator games.
I have big horse energy, but no actual horse, no
I didn’t know i was supposed to rush through it :( Finally new Diablo, i thought I’d savour it, but i think they didn’t design it for solo players.
I can’t reroll stats yet. But i guess I’ll give yellow another chance. I’m level 55 i think, not yet started Act III.
I think I’m not at the part of the campaign that unlocks rerolling an affix yet :( But otherwise fair point, i have recently started stripping my useless legendaries for their aspect. But still struggling to find any rares worth attaching to, but I’ll commit a bit more to that strategy and start paying more attention to them i guess.
I’m doing this but on foot… Am i an idiot? If i could make one Diablo 4 mod, i would mod in an e-scooter. Would love to see the druid scooting around.
Then it will go out of fashion again, and teeth will be the new tribal tattoo that people are stuck with, and the following generation will be all about smooth gums.
