I think that’s my main complaint with the game. Once you find a way to beat the boss, you just go for that build every time. It’s so punishing and the path to get there is so long, that it’s a massive disincentive to try new things.

Negativity bias is real! I was reminding myself just today that for every act of hatred, there are ten thousand acts of love or kindness happening unreported all over the world. In homes, on the streets at the store…
Don’t let the news get you down. Things aren’t as bad as all that.
I’m currently using Unraid for pretty much every thing you listed, and I love it so much. I really appreciate being able to set up almost everything through the web interface. It makes my hobbies feel fun rather than just an extension of my day job.
That said, I bought the licence before they switched to a subscription model. So if I were starting over I might look into free alternatives.
You can still buy a lifetime subscription for Unraid, it’s just a lot more expensive.
100% this.
For me I got so immersed in the world and character that it didn’t even occur to me to save scum. This RPG is so good that I actually felt like I was living the story. The only game that ever managed to accomplish that.
Terrorism is when the weak strike against the powerful. Oppression is when the powerful strike against the weak. Both are deplorable, but the latter is much more insidious due to the target population’s inability to stand up for itself.
So it’s very rich to hear you lecture others on not knowing their history, when you apparently just ignore the over half a century of oppression that led to these acts of terrorism in the first place.
You also say all Palestinians are undeserving of sympathy, because of these acts of terrorism. Is that because you think all Palestinians are terrorists? Or just because you think Palestinians are subhuman and undeserving of sympathy by default? Either way, there’s a word for that, it’s called being a bigot.
The Firefox example is actually the reverse, Firefox funds the Mozilla Foundation. This is a case of an open source project successfully monetising through search referrals (mostly from Google).
It being slow is exactly why I like it. A focus on characters over plot is sorely lacking in TV these days. Man we were truly spoiled in the aughts and early tens.
Cool makes sense, thanks for the reply! And yeah, I don’t think I’m quite there yet.
Out of curiosity, what’s the benefit of splitting those?
I’ve been meaning to try Caddy, but I just can’t even imagine something simpler than NginxProxyManager.
If they accepted a refund for the flights, it’s probably too late unfortunately.
But for next time, airlines are required by law to rebook you in a timely manner. Even if it’s on a competitor’s flight. If they fail to do this, you can get home any way you choose then send them the invoice. If they refuse, small claims will force them to pay. Ideally record any conversations you have with them and keep all receipts.
This is the best take I’ve seen on the whole kerfuffle so far.
If you’re plugging a USB drive into my home server, then I have bigger problems than malware.
Can anyone recommend any matter based sensors? I too haven’t purchased any devices yet and figured I might as well try to build out with matter to have a single strong network instead of many weaker ones, and aiui matter will likely win out over ZigBee in the long term?
Maybe try travel? Bring your laptop / deck / switch so you can game on the road. But do it from some place new. If you can work from home, maybe try moving around on short term rentals. Doesn’t need to be anything exotic, could be the next town over.
Anything to break up your routine a bit. Don’t look at it as a means to an end. Try and enjoy the journey itself
Woah… So do they also use the name moose? Or did I watch a translated version of the Holy Grail?

I think you touched on how to make pay it forward work: make it as low effort as possible.
In this case, while you had lots of work, the people “paying it forward” had almost none. Thus the chain was able to go for as long as you were willing.
