The cod was believed to be the king of the fish. I hope to live up to the name 🐟

  • My girlfriend finds showering and bathing extremely painful due to several very severe skin conditions. She’s also allergic to almost every deodorant that doesn’t cost a ridiculous amount. She doesn’t sweat a whole lot so it’s usually not an issue, and can get away with only one shower a week usually. Her conditions are pretty rare so I’m not saying everyone who doesn’t shower regularly has what she has, but there might be factors at play for some that give them legitimate reason not to shower. Or it could just be laziness

  • I got an Apple silicon case for my 12 Pro, my girlfriend got one for her 13, my dad got one for his 12 Pro Max. All three fell apart rather quickly. My dad also had the Apple clear MagSafe case for his 12 Pro which broke in multiple places. I now use a Spigen slim MagArmour case, my dad uses the same once he upgraded to a 14 Pro Max. My girlfriend uses a clear magnetic case by Speck. All are in perfect condition still after a year of use each. My girlfriend, dad and I all have physical jobs of varying degrees. My mom also uses a Spigen case for her 12 Pro Max (the exact phone my dad had before the 14 PM) and has had no issues, though it’s worth noting she’s got an office job and she’s not at all hard on her phone cases.

When I was on android, I always used Spigen cases. I think I’ll stick with them when I upgrade my phone this year. I’ve also been tempted by Mous cases as I had one before which I quite liked, but they’re quite a bit more expensive than Spigen.

  • Currently on a 12 Pro with low battery health and a damaged lightning port. Undecided if I should just replace the battery and repair the port or upgrade phones. I do like the idea of macro photography introduced a couple years ago since I take a lot of close up pictures of small mechanical watch movements, which are hard to capture on my current device. I also like the idea of a better battery life. At the same time I still like my phone and wouldn’t be upgrading if it was in brand new condition still

  • Not sure if you’d call it a hobby or more of a collection but I collect mechanical wrist watches and that can get expensive fast.

I started with a mechanical under $100, with a decent movement and a display back case so I could see the gears and rotor inside, and that could’ve been it. But once you get the bug, you want to get different types of movements, different case sizes, maybe some complications, sooner or later you’re going to start wanting some hand finishing, and then it gets really expensive. I wanna get into mechanical watch repair too but that gets really expensive and takes a lot of skill and time so I’m going to hold off a few years I think. Plus once I go there, there’s no coming back. I’ll be buying broken stuff on eBay constantly and there goes all my paycheques

  • Not sure if you’ve ever tried classical music on Apple Music or Spotify but it’s awful. Those apps aren’t at all designed for classical. You kinda need a different app for that. They bought Primephonic a while ago and promised to make their own classical music app, and took a good long while doing it, but it finally came and I downloaded it immediately. If you know your stuff with classical it’s far easier now to find specific recordings, and if you just listen to it casually or are wanting to discover new classical music it’s good for that too.
