Don’t watch mainstream media and get some of your news from independent sources, like Ken Klippenstein. I get most of my news from AP News and then from the Politics section in Lemmy.

I tried using a wireless Logitech mouse the g305. Dead in a few weeks. I tried using the wireless steelseries Aerox 3 which only lasted a few weeks.

I ended up with SteelSeries Prime Neo Noir which is wired but has none of the issues I was having with the other mice. This would be my recommendation if you can stomach The Wire

Go fix it yourself. You’re correct that’s the admin’s problem but if you’re so insistent that it takes a minute go submit a merge request real quick.

Also it’s only a security breach if you don’t change the admin password or your domain which should be standard for setting things up on the Internet anyway.

It literally takes a minute to make a GitHub issue and you could have linked it here for your conversation. Probably would have helped the admins of ml change things. Especially considering that things like this get overlooked all the time in open source projects.

Even if self checkout is more expensive to the companies I still prefer self-checkout for personal reasons rather than economical ones.

Besides the issues and opportunities for theft that self checkout creates means that it’s probably a wash as far as how much money they’re saving.

I definitely understand though not wanting to like scan your own groceries or deal with the whole system it would refer somebody else to do it. That’s why they should have both available.

I think that’s a good start if electoralism can get us that far. That does sound a whole lot better than the way we have it now

I like self checkout. I struggle with talking to people and it can really drain on me so it’s a godsend to have if I only need to run in for a few things.

People are using it to steal because people can’t afford the basic necessities anymore and we’ve lost a shit ton of our purchasing power.

When I need to get through my own ADHD episodes when I’m struggling like this so I generally move to things like reading or writing or drawing. The idea that is to keep my brain moving on some sort of thought so that it can’t fall asleep.

If you’re focused on something you can’t sleep at least in my experience ( I focused on things hard enough to end up keeping me awake when I was supposed to sleep )
