I’m not asking what Israel considers acceptable collateral damage, I’m asking what individuals consider acceptable collateral damage. Note that also no where in my post I presumed Israel and it’s supporters, my questions were balanced both sides and I let open which one you would find acceptable. For me personally, collateral damage on either side is not acceptable.

If you consider both sides acceptable collateral damage, congratulations you are not a racist. However, you could question your value for human life in general.

If Hamas is using the Palestinian people as shields and is forcefully preventing civilians from moving away from them, that makes the Palestinian people effectively hostages of Hamas. So if the Palestinian hostages happen to be near Hamas terrorists, are they acceptable collateral damage if Israel bombs them?

Eventually, Israel will find out where the Israeli hostages are being kept. Obviously, there will be Hamas terrorists near them. Are the Israeli hostages acceptable collateral damage if Israel bombs them?

If you answered yes to one question, and no to the other, you should ask yourself why you put different value on the lives of innocent human beings. Is it what side of a fence they are born on? What nationality they happen to have? What religion they believe in? The color of their skin?

Leaving the obvious moral horrificness of what Israel is doing aside, it’s also quite moronic that they’re giving Hamas exactly what it wants, while driving the civilians of Gaza, the people who’s “hearts and minds” they need to win for a chance at real peace in the region, even further away. All while rapidly throwing away the goodwill they have with the rest of the world. Strategically, Israel is gaining nothing from this apart from a quick win for Netanyahu with his own population, so he can stay in power.

If the civilians don’t agree with it, why is it okay for Israel to kill them by the thousands?

Due to the Israeli blockade of goods and travel, these people were happy if they can survive the day to day. let alone fight a regime that even the 4th strongest army in the world is failing to control. But sure, it’s their own fault.

I honestly don’t know, but just simply flattening all of Gaza can’t be the way. Both from a humanitarian perspective (it can not be okay to murder thousands if not tens of thousand by the end of this to save a few), but also in practical sense. I’d even argue the chances of killing the hostages are huge like this, as long as they don’t know where they are.

Imagine if these hostages were held on Israeli territory, they wouldn’t just bomb the shit out of that, that would be considered absurd.

Maybe, just maybe, because literally thousands of innocent human beings are dying? I sometimes feel like I live in a different reality that this needs to be said.

On the contrary, they already said that once they’re done destroying whatever is left, they will stop providing anything to Gaza.

They’ll probably still keep up the air, sea and land blockades though, so good luck to anyone else trying to help.

DDT wreaked absolute havoc on bird of prey populations. A LOT of species were on the verge of extinction due to being at the top of the food pyramid, where the DDT levels of all their prey animals added up. Banning DDT when we did was one of the biggest wins ever in bird protection.

He travelled to Iran several times before on official EU business, it’s not impossible that he fell in love with the country, made friends, etc. and legit just wanted to visit again. Whether that’s what happened, and if so, whether it’s smart to go there is another question.
