They don’t. Those gunshot detectors are notorious for their false positives.

Like my Firefox profile data isn’t encrypted and I don’t see anyone sweating over that. This stupid chat history not being encrypted ain’t that different.
Swamp coolers only really work if humidity is low. If it’s already humid then any drop in temperature is negated by the increased humidity.
Honestly I get the most “cooling” by putting a dehumidifier in front of my fan. Dry air will feel a lot cooler than super humid air.
Is the xbone version even translation? I figured they just recompiled the game for the One since there’s a lot of differences in some games.
I wouldn’t even consider PS2 retro. Maybe some of the earliest PS2 games. But for the most part to me it’s pre Y2K.
Vic20 is my oldest machine. After that is either my dead C64 or OG macintosh.
They’re earbuds. You’re going to using them with a phone, maybe a laptop, or even in a pinch maybe a desktop. None of those output enough power to melt through a rubber cable without severely destroying themselves and never working again. OP would be posting “my phone exploded and I’m deaf now” not about the cable having a pimple.
Even my dedicated amp, a Shiit Magni outputs 6 watts with both channels combined, and ain’t nobody connecting shitty earbuds to an amp. The rest of the cable is going to sink away the heat from 6 watts before the rubber could get hot enough to melt.
And how much power do you think the DAC in a phone is going to output?
The built in DAC in a phone can barely drive my headphones, let alone melt a silicone cable. They typically output less than a watt. On a good day. Rubbers melting point is 365c and 1 watt isn’t gonna do that.
These are earbuds, not big ass speakers. There shouldn’t be enough power going through those cables to do melt anything.
720p is fine, but I’d prefer 1080p most of the time.
It mostly just comes down to bitrate. A 4k video at 1Mbps is probably gonna look like shit. My drone and my go pro shoot 4k footage at 60Mbps h265 and that looks amazing. But if I’m acquiring a fuck ton of movies I’m not gonna download that shit at that bitrate. As long as the video is like 1080p and 5Mbps or higher I’m happy. If the file size is >6 gigs for a movie I ain’t downloading that shit even if I can, and that’s with a 1gb symmetrical internet connection and a 30TB NAS.
I’ll do that too, but only when walking. I’m too fat to do that when running.
In addition to that I’ll practice Spanish on my phone during my nightly walk/runs. My neighbors must think I’m really weird.
Swap longboarding for running and that’s me.
Nothing beats screaming your favorite song into the warm summer air driving down some nice roads.
The docks will work with anything that has Thunderbolt 3/4. It’s only the power switch that won’t work, and you can’t do the breaking USB spec of charging over 100 watts @20v. The downside is those OEM docks tend to be Thunderbolt only, and if you connect it to a USB only device it will either not work at all, or have SEVERELY limited functions.
Is yours a dock dock or just a big hub? I don’t really have much experience with the dock docks, but I know the overgrown hubs we use at work love to burn out the HDMI converter chips, but usually work well enough besides that.
FYI OEM docks are CHEAP used once they’ve been out for a few years. And no you can’t mix docks from other OEMs and have the power button work since there’s no standard for it.
I’ve found aftermarket ones to be super unreliable though, especially if you use HDMI and power from the dock.
Whatever makes RTX work is what accelerations a lot of AI tasks. I’d argue the 1080 is bordering on irrelevant if it wasn’t for the 8 gigs of ram to save it. The 2060 should be much faster despite for gaming being about in par.
I guess maybe less effort put into advice vs just explaining what they experience?
Microsoft Remote Desktop requires Winodws * pro, but Windows File Sharing doesn’t.
So if you’d picked differently when you started out you’d be fine with it?
Vertical integration doesn’t mean that other devices can’t play nicely with Apple devices or vise versa. The only reason they don’t is because Apple wants to be dicks.
The danger is the fun part though. Big shows are boring because there’s no risk to you, and only the guys you can’t see.
Launching bottle rockets by hand, or shooting your friends with Roman candles is the best.
This year we leveled up our game and launched them from the drone.![](https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/pictrs/image/b075c870-e682-40bf-864a-a89f3c5cd605.webp)
