Update: I did and it actually looks like a great tool to find the sources for the ‘both sides’. Unfortunately most of the news seem to come from the 10-15 same sources but nevertheless, that’s the best what I’ve seen so far

I mean, MAGA sources work fine for me, as long as they actually just cover MAGA-friendly stories. I am fine with them manipulating me with the story choice as I follow a lot of news sources, I am just not fine with them manipulating me with the facts. I am looking for sources that I can be sure that the story covered is actually reputable and don’t really need to double-check it for the factual correctness

Is it really right-leaning though? The media bias check websites classify is either in the center (1 2) or as slightly left-leaning (3)

Also looking for quiet drives, although for 20TB+ ones for my NAS. I would be grateful for any leads

Came here after my niche small Reddit client got officially shut down. When the API changes were announced, I knew that I’d rather switch than use their official Reddit client. I didn’t like that they charge AI companies for accessing my data and I don’t get any share of their profit neither. Here on Lemmy everyone can train their AI models on our data but at least there’s no random dude (spez) who profits off that.

The decentralization meaning that I can choose some random small instance and not be bound to the admins of any big one was another big point for Lemmy

Because it lets you sync your passwords anytime, without having to connect to the VPN first, which saves time. And the risk of data leak is not really there since the passwords are encrypted by a strong master password anyways. With Vaultwarden, you can host your database even publicly and share it on Lemmy and nothing would happen, provided you use a strong master password, which you definitely should.

What’s the issue of exposing this one to the internet? Even if the database gets leaked somehow, your passwords are still protected by a hopefully strong master password + strong encryption

I hate to say this but it’s gonna be expensive obviously compared to what you can get from China. Just look at the CPU - for a NAS, it’s a huge overkill. Aoostar WTR Pro looks identical for NAS storage needs and costs around 300 euros on AliExpress. I don’t see this thing being priced any lower than that
