Im the sole IT guy at a non profit. I could probably have a movie playing, but if power shell is open I’m covered. It’s hilarious and glorious.

I can be, but am not always. I actually find niceness to be a highly overvalued character trait. Some of the most back stabbing, manipulative, wishy washy, fake people I have ever known were incredibly nice. In fact, they used their niceness as a shield and mask for their awful character traits. Took a long time to realize that niceness is not so important. Far more important are loyalty, reliability, willingness to admit fault, willingness to listen, and so on. Niceness is just basic human civility. I don’t care how nice you are if you are a manipulative and fake.
Perfect Dark introduced bots and a host of other customizable options that Golden Eye did not have. Golden Eye created the framework, and Perfect Dark improved on it in every possible way.
Perfect Dark revolutionized the multi-player experience, and had an equally awesome campaign. The 360 game was good, but nothing amazing. Really hoping this turns out to be amazing. I have faith that it will!
I saw it articulated as “the greenest thing anyone can do is not have kids.” Pretty cynical, but also true. Unfortunately, there tends to be a lot of overlap between truth and cynicism.
It’s about as annoying as young people abandoning any and all punctuation entirely. The amount of people that will write an entire paragraph and not use a single period is obscene. If you can’t bother to organize your thoughts in the most minimal way, I’m going to assume you have nothing of worth to say and just won’t read it. And frankly, if what you’re saying is so boiler plate you don’t need punctuation, then you really don’t have anything to add, so probably just shouldn’t.
Had the same response. The headline itself reeks of spin.
Never. That is a position for the naive.
Yeah makes sense. Thanks for the insight, I guess I was just too annoyed to see the obvious lol
How on earth are people not totally repulsed by Altman? Capitalist to the core. Gross to see all his employees drank the kool aid too. I work in tech, but non-profit side, so I sometimes forget just how driven by money the tech sector is. Altman is a fucking bond villain at this point.
My thoughts exactly. Do downvotes offend you that much? Like, who cares? Just use whatever you want. This is the internet, it’s not that serious.
Chibi-jason!
Good points made for sure!
Completely agree. They demand more than most communities, while enjoying one of the few products that has dodged inflation in a huge way. I remember paying $60 for games in 2000. 20+ years later, and I’m supposed to be livid that most are still $60. The amount of whining is so crazy it’s embarrassing.
I pay $20 to watch a mediocre rehashed superhero movie for 2 hours. I can absolutely pay $60 or $70 for something that gives me 10 hours of entertainment. And most games I pickup give me way more than 10 hours. So I find gaming to be worth it pretty much all the time.
Picked up Warhammer Dark Tide since it’s on gamepass. I played 8 hours straight. This could be bad…lol
Eat a modest portion and eat something with plenty of fiber. But you may need to experiment as everyone’s body works differently. Lentil soup/stew/salad has been my go to.
I do IT for a non profit. Luckily, it’s one that is funded by membership dues so I don’t have to fundraise, which includes a ton of advertising and the like. True, I’m not making bank like a lot of folks in IT. But my peace of mind is intact. I make a good living, and feel good about what I do. Jobs like mine are out there, but when you’re a student all you hear about is the vast amount of money you can make quickly by selling your soul to amazon or whoever. If you keep at it, there is a path in IT that does not include losing sight of your values. Good luck!!
Precisely this. Not to mention your premise about reproducing fails when placed in front of a large majority of the queer community. Childless gay man here, by choice. I am extremely pleased, some may even say fulfilled, with my choice to not reproduce.
