Nah, just the basics is fine. I would recommend Griffith’s and then moving on to Shankar.

It’s also really important to remember that QM is really a formalized algebra of probability/stats, so it’s really really important to get a good grasp of that. QFT and all that comes after understanding the basics. It’s a fuck ton of work, but I think it’s rewarding.
I’d really recommend going through the basics about learning QM. Specifically: classical mechanics, a very good stats & probability math course, calc prereqs, intro to QM, intro to thermal/stat physics, maybe an atomic course, intro chem course. I’m not sure of the exact steps, but as a physics undergrad major, it’ll “click” after a certain amount of prereqs and if you need any help, feel free to PM me and I’ll gladly be of assistance (as far as I can remember, at least).
Yep. I’m so over American politics and I think the nation is headed in the wrong direction. I feel that the people are powerless against changing our trajectory. I had been considering doing a PhD abroad and this is really pushing that decision now.
It’s spam. OP is blasting the link everywhere

I’d gone to this museum probably 5-6 times and every time it was amazing. Grateful to have the opportunity but I’m so saddened that it’ll be closing for good. I wish Gates, Bezos, or any rich tech billionaire would’ve stepped in and tried to buy it out.
Has anyone tried this yet? I’m tempted to convert my physical card over but I’m worried about my phone dying, etc.
Update: I bought an additional card (Wallet only) and it’s working well so far for the light rail. I also added in a multi ride ferry pass and it correctly** handled that as well. Pretty happy about this so far, aside from being so very late.
** The screen on the turnstile says there’s an error, but it correctly deducts from the pass and lets me through. The wallet app doesn’t actually list pass uses remaining but myorca does.
I’d argue it depends on who is serving it and what their intentions are. I don’t think it’s necessarily bad. I went to a local Juneteenth celebration and the food stands were serving some fried chicken, collard greens, jollof rice, etc.
Nothing particularly, but it would let LW and other instances distance themselves from the lemmy.ml admins.
Tbh this is one of the reasons why I’m looking forward toward Sublinks
Maybe Thriftbooks? They do offer shipping to Canada but it’s not always cheap.

It shows the space weather forecast. I think it was G4 last night.
After it started getting dark. It was very vivid around 10:30ish to 11:30 or so. I went to sleep after that though, so it might’ve gotten brighter. I was checking periodically earlier but wasn’t seeing anything til it suddenly became visible.
I’m not sure, there was a ton of light pollution where I was at. It was all over the sky in every direction and moved around.
I use it all the time to help simplify long excerpts, giving me an introductory gist of what something says.
You could write C or assembly and it would be compiled to something that would run on an embedded chip. They may or may not be running an RTOS.
Weird, I would probably get a noncontact probe and see if there’s power, then cut power and see if there’s something behind the drywall.
Does it come off with a magic eraser or elbow grease?
I use it a few times a week, usually while at work. Normally to visit a dead link or to find old or outdated info.
