Man reading this thread, you’re kind of a dumbass. Especially if you think rewording your answer here from the last reply to reframe to current time period vs what was being talked about would throw off the scent

I would say the level of contempt would be much less though.
I never used tumblr personally but I know I would see screenshots of it all the time elsewhere. I also don’t view them as a huge corp that’s done anything particularly insidious
I’ve only blocked all the trans ones that pop up cause I just am not interested in that frankly.
Other than that, I scroll past the odd post but they’re blurred so it’s really not an issue to me. I can click it if I want and I’m not in a place I shouldn’t be
Yeah, ‘be yourself’ is really more ‘accept yourself, be true to it, and strive to be better where you falter’
If you use google assistant to set reminders you now use tasks.
I only know this because I heavily use reminders, and my pixel 5 kept annoying me to tell me reminders are being converted to tasks and will live there now
You… Don’t have a horse? You’ll want to get a horse to make it less painful…
Assuming this refers to essentially processed cheese like kraft singles.
9/10 times a different cheese will taste much better and texturally if you’re using a good melting point cheese for the use case better there as well.
That said, this style of cheese excels and is really only tolerable in HOT food. It needs to be melted. Its nasty pre-melt and its nasty post-melt. But while melted, it’s good.
A grilled cheese with real and stringy cheeses is great. But sometimes a grilled cheese with 2 kraft singles is what you crave.
Not quite the same as described but weirdly as a kid this was thee menu item I always wanted from A&W
Threads like this are great!
Not for infromative purposes, but as a reminder how whipped and nonsensical cat owners can be.
I never noticed until I got my own cats though. Used to be a dog person, through and through. Still am, but now I also love my cats.
Now like dogs, they are individuals so there are adjustments needed but let me just list all that I do with my cats that works amazing for them…
These 2 cats are healthy af, not overweight and well they eat and drink well.
I’ll add, I grew up with ad libitum dog feeding too. That said my 3 dogs currently are on a 2 meals a day regiment. This is purely due to the fact we have some overly food motivated breeds who will fight and we need to have them seperate when food is involved in any capacity (their food and food in general)
This rant just to say, cat owners very often come off as the type that try to sell chunks of gypsum and amethyst to heal your woes.
As an ad libitum cat feeder, 0 issues so far. They eat when they’re hungry
That’s likely due to the exploit on your instance.
Most instances as a precautionary measure invalidated all login sessions.
You need to clear cache in tbe app and/or just delete your login and readd it.
I had to do it for Jerboa as my instance admins took the precautionary measure that yours did as well (though it was more necessary for lemmy.world aince they were jit hardest with the exploit)
Atleast the second point on your ‘missed’ list is generally instance related (atleast in my experience).
The only issues with buttons not working I had was when I didn’t realise my instance was down to update to 0.8.1
And if its just a typo? Use strike through, then you can leave your funny typo and correct it
…and right here you can see, even Lemmy users can have bad takes!
I mean you’re highlighting some points that support how open and decentralized that this place is?
It seems there is a healthy sentiment among users and understanding the tolerance paradox. Beyond that the ability to discuss around what we (an instance) wants vs what we (Lemmy) wants vs what we (individual users) want is great. The option the federate and defederate is also great, as if there is an instance adding 0 value to any of those prior groups (like lemmy.online), you as a community can decide to not federate. You as a user don’t like that choice? You can go to another instance or make your own! The level of openess and control is really in your hands.
200 is probably the most common status no? Many successful responses will give 200 in the backend
Currently no. But they had, which was clearly stated as it was talking on the past.
