Candy
It’s me, the Communist.
Candy
I drink trash wine and love carbs anyway so I’m going with Jesus.
Well, that was a lie.
Lock screen and sleep. My gaming/programming computer is also our media server so it is basically always on.
A dik-dik. It’s a species of deer that is slightly larger than a house cat or maybe a medium size dog. It was super adorable but a bit uncanny feeling lol.
I’ve known about it for longer but just started using KDE Connect over the last year or so.
It’s got some bugs, at least for me. Like sometimes my phone won’t connect to my computer or like the SMS feature takes forever to load, but having something akin to Pushbullet but free from enshitification has been really great.
Try not eating taco bell.
But on the real, anything with a chalupa shell(deep fried gordita/flatbread) just elevates stuff there. Neither their gordita or chalupa are traditional in any sense of the word but fried bread is so good imo.
If you can get their potatoes when they are absolutely fresh, they are fire but if they’ve been sitting for any amount of time, the just taste like breaded cardboard.
My friend told me about Bitcoin when it was about $8 per coin. I was young and making some extra cash from working and not really buying too much stuff so I could have easily tossed down $100 on some crypto and let it ride.
The very next time I even bothered paying attention to crypto was when Bitcoin shot up to 78k from like 60k.
So yeah, I feel this lol.
Idk how well this would actually sell but years ago in my early 20s, I came up with the idea for a beer coozie for 40oz bottles.
40s are great if you are poor and want just enough of a buzz but unless you chug them, they get warm halfway through. Which is also why 12oz cans/bottles are probably also more appealing.
Just a big ass coozie to keep your Bud Ice cold in a Sunday afternoon of porch drinking.
Sky Valley makes a pretty solid one.
Thanks from me as well. I’m on a huge philosophy kick and did a dialectics dive on my last big socialist theory reading binge so this seems like a good way to bridge the gap a bit.
To be fair her teaching assistant put it on there and she has a tendency of clicking on everything and just isn’t computer literate at all so it was more of an inevitability than anything. It installed a reskinned Chromium that redirected searched so it wasn’t super bad. is ran MalwareBytes and got a few more possible threats too. Glad it wasn’t anything super severe. I’m out of practice lol.
The old search engine hijackers
I literally just cleaned up a computer at my wife’s workplace that had a hijacker on it like 2 weeks ago.
I think the obvious recommendation would be Reform or Revolution. It’s her most famous work and still pretty important to modern theory with regards to people who strive for a reformed mode of socialism compared to Marxist-Leninists who strive for a revolutionary mode.
Favorite movie is Dead Alive(but that is mostly my autism canned response)
Favorite genre is horror(the good and the bad, just all of it)
Turbo Overkill is sort of Duke Nukem/Quake strafe boomer shooter with modern schmovement mechanics like Ultrakill.
Also another vote for Prodeus. It’s basically a Brutal Doom clone. It’s messy and gory and just a tone of mindless fun.
I’m playing Prey right now and it’s also a ton of fun trying to figure out ways to do stuff instead of running in all guns a-blazing. Still trying to figure out how stealth really works mechanically.
Similar mental capacity probs.
I’m as tankie as they come.
I have a 3d printed fidget slider and a custom-made worry stone I almost never leave the house without.
