The DS shop closed in March 2023, so unless you already bought those titles, you won’t be able download them. I would look into homebrewing your 2DS, it’s not that complex and the step by step instructions are very thorough.

I mean you could also try to find 2nd hand sellers, but the prices of DS games have jumped a LOT in the past few years.

Oh man, highly recommend Link Between Worlds with a 3DS if you can get your hands on one! I know many people thought it was gimmicky, but it genuinely blew my mind how good the game looked in 3D. Probably tied with Samus Returns and RE:Revelations for some of my best gaming experiences on the 3DS.

I’ve played almost every Zelda except 1+2 (I swear I’ll get to it…someday) and the CD-i ones. BotW + TotK was some of my favourite times with the franchise, it really took me back to experiencing the OoT + MM duology.

I think a lot of the “People hate BotW/TotK/x Zelda” is partially an online circlejerk, tbh. No matter what the vocal Zelda fans may tout as “popular” opinion, there’s actually a lot of variance in and outside of the Zelda community. I remember when Wind Waker and Twilight Princess were touted as the black sheep of the franchise, and look at them now.

(Except Wand of Gamalon. That might be the one universally hated Zelda game in my experience, lol.)

Shounen Jump is a great example. It works, it’s readers find value in it enough to pay for subscriptions, and it clearly has some sort of profitability. A great model of what other manga magazines could do, but they refuse because most of them are run by dinosaurs and would rather cry “piracy is ruining our profits wah” when they DON’T EVEN HAVE A PRODUCT in the market to profit from!

Sorry Japan, manga piracy/scanlations until I die. There are so many niche authors/manga that never get officially translated to any other language because your industry thinks everyone just wants to read shounen and only the top 1% of shoujo/seinen/josei. Don’t even get me started on BL/GL.

Meanwhile some fucking random scanlation team does a better job of translating and making a chapter of Rose of Versailles more accessible to modern audiences than the entire Japanese manga publishing apparatus ever will.

As someone who has been to South Korea, US capitalism looks downright reasonable in comparison.

I really liked Paris 🥲 I did go during the end of October though, so that might’ve have been a factor. People still didn’t want to talk to me in French, but they weren’t rude about it.

My favourite place to visit in France was La Rochelle, I feel like I got most of the benefits of visiting Coastal France but without the Marseille/Toulon/Monaco crowds (yes I know, Monaco is not France).

I like the spicy (black packet) and 2x spicy (red packet), it definitely has flavour to me! The 3x is closer to painful spicy though. Tongue’s are just different.

Also I would not recommend any of these to people with geographic tongues. They will hurt no matter what level you get.

Apologies, can you clarify what exactly you mean by this? Because when I say their labour is not being valued, I do extend that to the Wall Street orgs that are doing the evaluations. They look at the “product” on offer, not the people actually working and developing it.
