It’s a cool concept, but just seems short of what I expected. Seems the majority of good stuff is much much further down the line in it. I’d say Deep Rock is better option for this kind of game. Doing missions and fighting hoards of bugs.

Helldivers 2. I just found it boring. I’m waiting still for my refund, I only haf about 1.5 hours in it. But only 45 minutes of gameplay. I managed to only get a few matches and they were very dry.
What’s the best place to look for jobs these days? Going on indeed floods me with endless “insurance sales” positions. I tried Dice, but almost every job is wildly out of range for experience to pay. I’ve devolved down to scrolling over an area on google maps and clicking businesses to check their websites.
Most of my girlfriend’s family is deaf. They read fairly slowly and end up usually not really following subtitles very easily. Sign language is fastest for them to understand.
Play Siege. So Linux wins again.
I got into Amigo The Devil almost a decade ago in highschool. I used The Weight in my senior project presentation when it was a recent single.
Deus Ex and System Shock.
My favorite shoes are the Red Wing Iron Ranger’s. I worked for them for 3 years and when I left I was gifted my second pair. They’re great shoes in everyway. I only wish they had an 8 inch version available in the states. They had one back then in Europe, but nothing stateside. My two sets and the pile of other shoes I got when I worked there have been going strong some years on so I haven’t boot shopped in a while, maybe they finally took my advice and did it.
I agree with the other guy, the T440P is great. My top 3 are the T400, T440P, and T480.
T400 - great keyboard and form factor, but heavy
440P - LOTS of ports, easily fixable, last one with replaceable cpu
T480 - very lightweight and thin, good modern cpu, usb c fast charging.
Pretty much any thinkpad is a good go. Age doesn’t really matter either. I’ve got a T23 from 2001 that’s running fresh and good. I’d say maybe 2012 is as far back as you might want to go for regular use though.
Every single I’ve seen something horrible from a fedi site, it’s been on lemmy. I would block all of lemmy, but then my feed would be dry. I’ve seen much worse things here in a few months than I did for the on and off years on reddit. I honestly might just quit kbin and fediverse sites all together, I’ve already stopped recommending it to people. There is a servere lack of moderation and a large attraction to certain types of people to populate here. I see this going similar to voat, just harshly left rather than harshly right.
I can’t turn on the lights, i forgot my password
A coworker of mine was an computer engineer in the early 2000s, but is now a warehouse director. She told me she helped her son build a new pc but it was having heating issues. I asked about fans and she said it only had 2 intake on the front with no exhaust. Told her a local shop that has cheaply priced good fans. She said computers have changed a lot in 20 years. I helped in about a week ago with choosing storage blocks, had no clue nvme even existed.
I hate all these bastards. That’s why I only use gentoo and play games I find in thrift stores and google drive folders.
I’ve been using Qobuz. Sure it’s still paid, but I can buy downloads for any of the music on there. Same with Bandcamp. I’ve been buying one album every paycheck and putting them on my storage blocks, then putting them on my media player and phone. I support my favorite bands, and get to keep something in return. On top of all this, I hunt down CDs. I’ve got a massive physical music collection, and it’s nice.
I have all my synths in cases and I put whatever cables I use for them in the accessories pocket. The cables themselves are tied with velcro straps. I only own 3 synths, and have just enough cables for them. So, results vary.
When I went to sweetwater to buy my first synth a few months ago, I told the guy I wanted something smooth and analog. I wanted to make atmospheric ambient music. He immediately, no hesitation, recommended the full sized Colossus. I asked him how much money he thought I had.
This isn’t even the full sized one. The full sized one is nearly 6 feet tall if I remember right. And like 70k.
I see this on the sweetwater site and always wanna see it in person
I deal with the same thing. I had written for several small publications, and one way I overcame my disconnect from emotion was just by stream of conscious describe things. The way I’m subconsciously describing it tends to reveal my feelings for it. Directly, i really feel nothing for it but under the layers I do have a sense of emotion for it.
