Well yeah, it’s articifical intelligence, not idiocy.

Which they made bigger in Jurassic Park, so that’s actually proving the point. A bigger raptor species was only discovered after the first movie.
I really like my water pillow.
That’s what happens when people who don’t understand LLMs try to profit off of LMMs. You can be sure that the actual programmers at Google told corporate that this would be the exact thing that would happen, but corporate pushed ahead anyway. The programmers shrugged, did their job, and brushed up their CVs just in case.
And he’s also married to a black woman. Strange behaviour for a supposed rascist.
Yep. Also, Trump is constantly in the news for being on trial, they need something to create whataboutisms about Biden. It’s just Buttery Mails 2.0.
AI is the new procedural generation, in that it will be touted as making the games more real and immersive but really only makes them boring and repetitive, thus stressing the importance of genuine creative handcrafting. I’m looking forward to smaller studios selling their games with a “no AI” pitch in a few years.
I mean, Larian is pretty much that. Instead of just doing Baldur’s Gate 4 although Hasbro fired all their contact people and probably would have urged Larian to rush a sequel, they are instead during an IP of their own next and refuse to go public and/or get bought.
Well, technically stones are dead, so that cat is just lazy.
I really hope they’re going sci-fi. I can only replay the Mass Effect trilogy so many times.
Looks like someone needs a trip to SPATULA CITY!!! https://youtu.be/4BUDwj_mXKE
Even worse, only to appease shareholders that are only after short term gains and might even bet on the company failing.
WarnerBrosDiscovery is in massive debt (40 billion) to AT&T, which is itself in even more debt (138 billion). They are trying to make as much money liquid as quickly as they can to pay off the debt, long term profitability be damned. I wouldn’t be surprised if WBD is bought by an ever bigger player in a few years (Apple, Sony, Disney or Microsoft).
I know the second is the groundbreaking one, but I always had a soft spot for this one.
The problem I have with the concept of a conscious soul that survives my death is the question what version of me survives. If it’s the version I was when I died, the younger versions of me still stay dead. If it’s an ideal younger version of me, the older version still died. In fact, the soul would always only be a part of me since it lacks the biochemical processes of the body. So it would be another entity possessing my memories but it wouldn’t be me, I’d still be dead.
Reminds me of that South Park episode.
“Hey, poor people, we have the cure for Parkinson’s, it’s gold! Hurray!”
Yeah, I agree with this. Also each of his films has a clear motif, but this one is super vague. It’s about acceptance of death maybe? Or growing up? Letting go of… stuff?
Only a question of time. Ads are already digitally inserted into movies and shows.
Add in a looming depression, an ineffectual, infighting government with weak leadership and a conservative opposition that would rather help literally nazis to power than stop demonizing the Greens (which has become the new enemy as the actual radical left is more aligned with the right than ever). Yep, it’s pretty much the same situation as it was shortly before Hitler rose to power.
Yes, exactly. I lived in a collapsing society as a child and mostly life goes on, it just gets harder and there are less luxuries.
