Ragebait and the internet, together forever.
Ragebait and the internet, together forever.
Quick someone SLAM JK Rowling for saying more idiotic nonsense. We need more celebrities SLAMMED as soon as possible. Some politicians too, keep on SLAMMING folks!
What will keep you safe is not selling your business to a mega corp.
I don’t disagree with what you’re saying, except maybe we should switch to show not tell. I understand that it’s not as easy as that but over the last let’s say 30 years, how much has the left really improved life for the rural population? And by comparison how much do we preach to them that they’re backwards and their world view is invalid?
It’s exactly as you say, the working class should be an easy win for us on policy, but it hasn’t turned out that way.
You can just say “well they’re stupid that’s what you get” or you can ask yourself why aren’t we getting these people on board while some greasy billionaire can?
Not to the racism and idiocy but to the underlying issues that fuel that anger.
Same here and I’m lucky enough to have them visit my back yard regularly. 🦆🦆
If they really are micro breaks, as in a few minutes, try doing nothing. Just being alone with your thoughts a few times per day is good for you. We’re not made to have our attention grabbed by media 24/7.
Was I a good processor?
No one ever mentions the MSX. Best of the 8 bit generation as far as I’m concerned, scrolling purists be damned.
Take a break from social media and the 24 hour news cycle. Join a political action group if you feel the need, being with like-minded folks can help and you might make a difference. But otherwise sitting home and obsessing over everything that’s wrong with the world will just drive you nuts.
Shareholders: you doubled your profit last year, so I expect you to do it again this year.
Depends what you want. Do you want your income to be stable and predictable and not too low? Then that’s your best bet. More interesting usually comes with less stability or possibly less income to start.
Tons. People just generally want to be safe and stable so they gravitate to those kinds of jobs.
The real question is how is it our business? If it makes them happy, great. And even if they did end up regretting it later, it’s not our place to judge, especially as strangers.
It depends, if you’re worried better to talk to a doctor than ask random internet users. I think anyone who reflects on life can probably relate to the feeling, but there are definitely physical and mental conditions that can have this as a symptom.
One of the things I heard (again speaking as a non-doctor internet rando) is that the time to be concerned is if it appears involuntarily and impacts your daily life. For example, you’re at work and suddenly this thought takes over, and you can not just shake it off and get back to what you were doing.
Hey it’s a free world. You’re welcome to migrate to a different instance. Heck why not run your own? That’s the power of the fediverse. Or just head back to Reddit.
And what is it that’s been undermining the democratic systems? Extreme concentration of wealth, courtesy of capitalism.
We’ve been hearing these stories for generations. “When our generation is in charge we won’t have these senseless wars any more” but somehow here we are again.
Free (as in beer) is never free
Just like in Europe, to say there is no problem with migration is false, but to present it as an existential problem for the country or even the state is ridiculous. Starting a civil war over ‘nuggets’ of truth seems pretty dang evil.
My girlfriend lies on my right arm, so she’s on the right side of the bed and I’m on the left.
