Knew i loved freshrss for a reason.

I really want to like music assistant. But its just been issues every time i try it and a resource hog. I ditched it and just run a lyron music server. I can pipe ledfx through it and zero sync issues. Home assistant runs the whole setup so i can tell the local voice assistant to play a playlist and works flawlessly.

I have been thinking of this myself. I think what ill do eventually is dmz a headscale coordinator instance on an old raspi and then make that internet facing for my tailscale instances. But before running my own coordinator want to do is go over some NIST guidelines first to harden the raspi. I think starting with what you want to achive and build a threat model helps narrow options of implementation and cuts the noise.

Check out if your router and provider supports SIP. It allows sms and calls over your wifi connection

I remeber it happening. There was no backdoor. It was during that time there was a push to put backdoors or weaken public encryption in the name of national security. Truceypt didnt want to play and were threatened with possible legal action. Rather than fight it they decided to stop the project.

Personal solution:

• Openssl certs (lots of youtube videos on best practice there).
• nginx reverse proxy manager
• adguard home using the dns rewrite pointing to the wildcard domain.

This is enough i find for intranet use. You can get fancy and put it over a wireguard or tailscale network too.

Musical theory has taken quite a dive these days. I dont even think most songs have bridges or codas… i dont think id do a musician in the past dirty like that.

I have been experimenting with this recently. I just have tailscale pointing to adguard on a vm i use as an exit node and run nginx to handle the reverse proxy.

Tailscale can use relays if it cant find a way to make a p2p connection. Check the documentation. There is a command you can run to see whats using the relay.

I routed the dns of the vm to the tailscale adguard and it worked.

My theoretical reasoning is. Make adguard be the dns server tell tailscale to use that and then parse all rewrites and dns for the tailscale netwrok through that endpoint (including exit node which is on the same machine).

Glad im not the only one struggling with this. I was able to get nginx to give me the congratulation page via the tailscale ip for the machine but getting that routing to work with my own custom name is giving me a headache. I am probably adding an extra unnecessary layer by trying to use adguard home as a dns rewrite. If you crack it id love to hear how you achieved it.

Getting high on the beach with these guys scurrying about is always a fun summer night.

Check out touch designer. I was doing this for fun about 10 years ago and I know more professional creatives use it for the same thing. These days I think the camera tracking is pretty good but you can use a kinect for better tracking. Bit of a learning curve but if you have an aptitude for visual arts and programing you will be fine.
