Scammers usually go after the elderly. In the last six months, two octogenarians in a neighboring town got scammed. One was a lady who got the typical threats over the phone of law enforcement/IRS coming for her, she lost 40K. The other was a retired Professor who was hit with an investment scam, he lost 1.6M.

That said, anyone who invests in crypto now, after the initial gold rush, is asking to be robbed.
