  • They’re annoying, like over-caffeinated teenagers, and they like to use what I presume are something like Twitch emotes that don’t work outside of hexbear, which looks really stupid.

I don’t think they’re evil or anything, but they’re just so universally awful to deal with that I can fully support immediate no-questions-asked defederation. They’re the fediverse equivalent of a decent enough guy who just fucking reeks because they refuse to ever shower or wear deodorant.

  • Buddy, you are supporting fascism. Your assesment of the lesser-of-two-evils here is based in neither compassion nor reason, but idiotic spite. You will actively side with a fascist regime against a liberal one not because you truly want a better world, but because you’re a contrarian idiot. You are the greatest weapon fascism has on attacking the left, because you will blindly support everything it does.

I cannot stress this enough: You are both deeply evil and need to be outright killed so that the increasing influence of fascism can be stemmed and revolutionary consciousness can be developed.

  • 40-something sysadmins love both bicycles and video games, so I’m really not surprised. All of those “read-only” bits aren’t here and they aren’t moving, and nobody’s making them because the moderation tools are awful. Kbin doesn’t even have an API.

When I want to watch a play or musical, I generally look for expert reviews.

I generally look for the opinions of like, actual human beings with no skin in the game. Reviewers gotta say what they need to say to pay their bills. Reddit was great for stuff like that, or the semi-official subreddits of specific obscure headphone companies, vinyl record swapping, local-town-community type subreddits… Stuff this place seems like it will literally never have. It’s a shame.
