  • Same, I’m done with them. Also, yesterday I went to a site and it was hugged to death by Lemmy. I have 3 accounts and only use one now, I’m pretty sure that’s included in a lot of those numbers. When I first got here, I tried different instances, I just lurk at the others. Active users isn’t a good metric to me, it would be active and lurking because we can tell by the comparison.

  • I didn’t know any of this. He always seemed above the fray and a good guy.

Steve was so good, ABC’s Good Morning America asked him to fill-in more than 70 times over the years. In addition, Steve was featured on the cover of Seattle Magazine twice and named numerous times as the readers choice for best weatherman in Seattle Magazine’s “Best of Seattle”. Twice he was also named the best weathercaster in the “Seattle Weekly” annual newspaper poll. He was also featured in the March 2006 edition of Esquire Magazine.

  • Thanks for the thorough response. Laptop makes sense with the open columns for the mastodon, I liked tweetdeck for that very reason. I forgot they had it tbh.

In terms of posting between the two, I often do post to Lemmy via Mastodon just to get the conversation from both places all happening in one thread. Works well as long as you bear the various quirks in mind, but I hope that’ll be improved over time as well as asking the option to crosspost the other way round (ie Lemmy to Mastodon).

That’s exactly it, it seems quiet and isolated between the two. If we could share some of that great art, ideas and conversations between each other easily, it would really thrive. I’m not even saying thriving to attract more users, I’m not sure if that’s what anyone wants. I think the quality would thrive.
