women and people of color were on the bottom barrel of being treated decently in these movies… How many scenes are there of men slapping a woman and then passionately kissing her as she hits him to stop…but it does nothing to him and she suddenly succumbs to his ‘charm’. it was a popular trope…

But I am sure those were only movies and not indicative of how white men actually viewed life. Its not like they were trying to capture an audience in relevancy

I think it’s a very nuanced complex set of issues that no one on social media has a real grasp on… we are really only being shown so much from both sides… we can be against Hamas and Israel but be pro civilian… it’s a nuanced, challenging issue, that takes a lot of intellect and understanding that there is no good guy, bad guy in this. Both governments suck here, not the victims dying at their hands.

He had an issue with them (immigrants) complaining about literally anything, so they should just go back to their country… When I asked him why he would want ‘them’ ( a Mexican family he was upset with, to go back to Mexico) he shared a very similar sentiment.
