I know that it hurts when you feel a certain way about someone and they don’t feel that way about you- it can hurt a lot and it can take time to come to terms with it- and I don’t’ think removing yourself from their lives is an unreasonable solution if you are having trouble dealing with it- so I definitely feel empathy for the singers pov as well.

I think it’s unfair for her to say he doesn’t care a thing about her. He obviously does. If he didn’t he wouldn’t want her to still be a part of his life.

This song is just about two people who want different things out of their relationship, and the singer is just unable to accept it.

She has the ability to cut him out of her life if that’s what she really wants, same as he does. She should cut herself free if it’s too painful for her to be his friend.

I am on Pop!_OS 22.04 and the only apps in the COSMIC Store are Interstellar and Lemonade.

Interstellar seems fine but if there is a way to tag users in it I can’t seem to figure it out, it also seems designed for Landscape mode and it’s a little cramped on my second monitor.

Lemonade hasn’t been updated since October of 2023, so I’m a little wary of trying that one out. I can’t even tell if they are still developing it or something called Ouch Browser, if its the same project with a new name, or just abandoned alltogether.

I know there are other Lemmy Apps but I am a little lost tbh.

Evolution is not ‘a tendency’. Evolution is the change in a genome over successive generations. There are many different factors that play into evolution, such as fitness, genetic drift, and sexual selection. In human beings we are less controlled by such forces because we have consciousness and knowledge of how genetics works, so we can choose who we procreate and thus are able to direct our own evolution.

So, assuming that you live in a country that doesn’t have arranged marriages- you will have to try and get a partner based on your personality, looks, intelligence etc. If you go around treating women like objects and making stupid ass remarks- you are actually less likely to procreate, not more.

Sex is not an emotion. It is an activity. One whose evolutionary purpose was to procreate, but now is used for many other purposes.

It’s a significant number of them so far and I see no signs of it slowing down. Perhaps the goal is to deport every legal immigrant? At any rate it’s enough of them to expose the lie that MAGAts have been spouting for the last decade that they “have no problem with immigrants, they have a problem with illegal immigrants.” Clearly that isn’t the case.

Besides even deporting just one LEGAL immigrant is one too many. Especially when they aren’t just being deported, but being thrown in foreign prisons/ possible death camps.
