Thankfully, it’s not that. As soon as I clean the sludge that accumulates in the overflow opening, the smell goes away immediately.

But…there’s fabric above it and around it so it’s clearly not underwear sticking out.
I mean, I get it. You should totally be comfortable in the clothes you’re wearing. I don’t think I’d see it if I hadn’t read about it though.
Agree with the other poster that they won’t. Apple will almost surely constrain AI to their latest flagship’s hardware in some way. They already said AI itself is limited to the 15 Pro.
I want to give it a go but the previous dev beta has wrecked my battery life, even after swapping to the public beta. From the notes though, it doesn’t seem like it’s too much of the exciting stuff.
I just can’t wait for Siri to have a semblance of intelligence.
I used perplexity pretty exclusively for a while. Especially for work. Both have their place and use cases but when I’m looking for something truly specific or nuanced, it’s DDG and a manual search.
I recently started playing Diablo 4. I’ve never bought DLC or cosmetics but I recall the horse armor uproar. My shock when some of these cosmetics are $20 for mount or town portal…what?!
ChatGPT+ has been a revelation. We’ll see what happens with iOS 18 too.
They’ve got a really active and dedicated community on discord. I returned mine before this story broke for unrelated reasons but it really is a neat little device that fits a very specific niche. Outside of that bubble though, almost no one gets it and that’s their biggest problem.
I visited a few out of mindless curiosity and ignorance. I have no idea wtf I read and now the FBI is after me…
I can’t justify Kagi’s pricing but I liked it. I’d blow through the cheapest plan in a week. Neeva was pretty good too before they pivoted, also pricey imo though.
I have ptsd from that Early Transcendental Calculus. But boy do I miss those college days where you’re just drinking from life’s firehose of knowledge.
I know nowadays we have all we can learn about at our fingertips but there’s something magical about it in your 20s.
I added an article with some background. Seems she just vanished into history.
Huh! I’d never seen one before. Really simple fix. Thanks for the suggestion!
I’m open to the ghetto solution for the time being while I cap it. I replied to another comment with a pic of the main vent stack so it looks like I’ll be able to cap it. Just have to figure out the best way to do that.
Almost exactly what I said too.
Thanks for taking a look and the advice. I just went through our old demo pics and noticed the small pipe runs up and joins the primary vent stack. Now I can plug it and be done with that stench.
Think an expansion plug or should I try to chop the pipe and cap it?
I’m just waiting for the tenForward folks to brigade this post with O’Brien transporter memes…
I’ve seen that drain system and I think that might be the least expensive way to deal with it. I’ve heard mixed reviews but generally it seems to work. Our layout makes it tough to run it along the perimeter to the sump pump but it’s still more accessible than digging the exterior or drain tiles.
I appreciate the help.
That’s what I’m leaning towards. I don’t see any coating, except for the floor. I’m thinking that and a lucky rabbits foot are my last shot.
🤯 you just blew my mind with that possibility.
When I put the pop-up stopper in, the drain flows much slower than without it. And! Without the pop-up stopper installed, I’ve never had the smell or slime. I hadn’t put two and two together.
I guess what threw me is that it’s happened with two separate (but similar) drain assemblies. Maybe I’ll try installing a grid style assembly. That might do the trick.
Thank you so much! I’ve been trying to solve this mystery for well over a year.
