Your budget will play a role. I 100% agree with people saying don’t get computer speakers if you’re looking for quality, but the catch is they need to be powered.

I did a bunch of research and got the below on sale after a few reccos and agonizing over specs. For reference, previously I have used spreadsheets to tune a room to a flat frequency response with my own custom crossover designs, so… I’m picky.

I’ve been happy with my choice. And since they are fairly portable, they are versatile. Also used them with a Midi keyboard and a portable projector.

The implementation doesn’t sound terrible.

So if you already use GPT for day-to-day, it may be a welcome experience. If you don’t, don’t opt in.

I’m skeptical of GPT add-ons, bit at least this was done in a low-bloat opt-in way (which allows Mozilla to bring in revenue (probably)).

By your reasoning I could use some 24 gauge wire that came with a pair of Walmart computer speakers with a receiver paired with 3-ways each with 10" woofers. Or even better yet, between a plate amp and sub as a fire starter.

I don’t disagree with your overall premise, but it’s too reductive, even for home theater. Throw in a “16ga in most non-sub applications” and only then does it become true.

Gauge matters in some setups, especially over longer lengths, this is overly generalizing.

I modified the crap out of an Eclipse spider, all the way down to welding intercoolers amd exhaust, to grinding out maniffolds, and rebuilding transmission on my front porch. Super reliable, too (rare for that car), and was close to an AWD conversion (had the doner) before I sold it for a twin turbo 335i I got for a steal that is on it’s 4th water pump after 13 years :(

Depends on four factors (theory):

• You have profile pictures on
• Your App shows the emoji characters in display names (ugh (my reaction has no reflection on the quality of their posts, it just annoys me))
• You reply to the same person more than a few times
• You proactively read usernames as you read comments/posts

The last one is key. I think most people skim right over them, which makes the first three important.

I mentioned in my other reply that my hiking group hugs when we meet, which started as a joke when the women did, then stuck. Now, when someone new joins you can feel the emotion of missing out when they arrive, and the acceptance when it happens as they leave.

Next time a mixed gender group meets, and the women hug the women and men, etc, start a ridiculous laugh and pretend to hug one of the dudes. If he does, you may have started a trend.

Depends on the friend group. My hiking friend group (about an even split of male/female) all hug. It started off as a joke, then stuck. Other groups, nope. Though, other groups have all fizzled out for me, mainly due to moving or my poor engagement as life moved on.

I do this a lot, but I am ok with losing it all. I can imagine there are people who would have a much harder time if their belongings were lost.

The true solution to all of this is massive fines for lost luggage.

You are the problem my idea would solve. Those who sit at the front cannot get to the back to use open space, and you took theirs. Stop doing this. Everyone hates you for it.

Airport lounges where the seats are just like on the plane, with little spots for luggage to the side. Then people just get up and board in order, putting your stuff right above or in front of you. If you’re late, you board last. No more airline rat race.
