What kind of classes? Shooting? If so I’d say shooting won’t help much unless you have a community response to those threatening you. It just gives ammunition to those calling the American population dangerous, and trying to break them into groups so they can exploit hatred and fear. I believe that standing by all “groups” no matter what is what needs to happen. When someone tries to divide to conquer, the best answer I can see is avoiding any divides. The problem is it works on so many people, that about 30% of the country agrees that they have enemies in the country. Yet those people they think are enemies… Are no one they know, and would take as a friend if they were their neighbor.

Edit: that’s said as someone taught to shoot when I was 8 and has owned guns from 18, I’m 36. Guns aren’t the answer without community

When I moved to Tennessee a few years back I looked all over trying to figure out where our gas bill was. Water/electric/sewage/internet, I actually got through one company now which is kinda neat, but our heater is natural gas, and I haven’t been billed for it yet, which never makes sense to me. I keep wondering if the management company just covers it or something, but I should see a usage bill I would figure somewhere…

Small towns don’t manage much though. They came by to do an inspection a couple months ago and I was like oh shit, they had not stopped by since I moved in back in 2021. (Guess a new management company absorbed them). I’ve got a chicken coop and put chicken wire up around about 1,000+ square foot and I was wondering what they were going to say about it. They never ended up even going out back. Next year’s problem I guess.

Sir, I posted elsewhere and it appears your expertice may help my experience. Android/web allows shuffle at the top for music. Roku only offers me shuffle in shows. Is there a way I can enable it in music and/or is there somewhere I could donate something small to your time to add a shuffle button to roku’s music client?

Edit: it’s very possible maybe I have my server or client settings set up wrong.

Yeah, apparently it’s top/center for Android and web based, and not present for Roku. But thank you for that information. The other person who responded made me investigate. So I need to find the person earlier who said they program the Roku one, and suggest shuffle for entire music playlist., also make a donation lol

I run the server from Mint, play from Roku client. I have a copyparty server set up on that mint sever as well, and we resorted to pulling up the website and having a 80s competition, trying to top the other but not by much so we didn’t go to what we thought would be the best song right aways, which we played from our phones so the other could scroll and look. Hers Samsung, mine Motorola, so both android.

Edit: Just checked the Android app for jellyfin. It appears we jumped from jellyfin to copyparty to early, the jellyfin app has the shuffle button.

At least we still made it fun

We were using Jellyfin to watch old episodes of Sherlock Holmes last night, during a break we switched over to playing a few songs I had thrown on there. The interface for movies and shows seems great but my spouse asked me, “why is there a shuffle option for shows?” To which I said idk, maybe if someone watches something like family guy it doesn’t matter. But then when we were under my music section, I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to use shuffle. It was probably user error, but it seemed strange

Whether we like it or not, those cops are the proper procedure/authorities in said situation. Thus they are allowed by law. I can’t just hire a neighbor to show up to a homeless camp with said gear and expect when something goes wrong for them not to get arrested for murder/battery, and probably be arrested for something else. I assume it’s a joke, but the guy said professional tactical gear and firearms apparently, as well as teargas and such. If he’s not joking I’d say their odds of going to prison are pretty good. Premeditating and provoking a situation with deadly weapons instead of contacting actual authorities and following the laws/procedure doesn’t seem like it would work out well for anyone.

What was your definition of vaccine? Vaccines have never 100% prevented people from contracting a virus. A virus is a living thing that once it enters your body and body has to react. If your body doesn’t recognize it is bad, it may ignore it and allow it to replicate and spread without any resistance. If your body knows it is bad, it starts to put up a resistance and fight it soon as it sees it. Both bodies “contracted the virus” but the one who got a vaccine knows when it sees it to start working against it sooner; hopefully preventing it from spreading to much or causing any serious symptoms.

I like to think of it like making the opposition wear a red shirt. When you see a red shirt, you know it’s an invader, without the vaccine, you don’t know what to look for, so you let the red shirt population grow and spread until you notice that the red shirts are causing problems, then you recognize them as an invader, but they are spread throughout the body and ingrained into the population. A lot more opposition… Thus the battle isn’t as quickly won, or if unlucky, the damages get to severe before being able to clear out all the invaders, and you die.
