Just FYI, this tool seems to only be available if you live in the US. I tried to apply for my own instance, located in Europe, and my request was denied after a lengthy and frankly tiresome “verification process”. This sucks.
As an European, my image of Taco Bell will always be shaped by online hyperbole. Therefore, I chose to believe it is some kind of dystopic yet tasty explosive diarrhea factory were Americans go to purge their bowels in apocalyptic fashion.
I’m pretty sure going to Taco Bell is the secret to getting the shits.
I’ve seen a couple active on Lemmy.world lately, but nothing out of the ordinary. They’ll be back though, one way or the other. We have to be aware of that.
Curious: what do you mean by “manually federating” a comment?
And now error again…
Federation will break.
Now it seems to be up.
You can see the content but not, afaik, move the community or take ownership of it. I’m afraid you’ll have to recreate it somewhere more stable.
Holy shit is that article a heap of bigoted trash ramblings. I mean, I get that people disliked the series but this is full on Andrew Tate shit.
And surprisingly light on resources (apart from storage space obviously).
A lot of them are though.
Not supporting people and murdering them are two distinct things, are they not?
Technically speaking, those regions (which I mentioned above) are not colonies. Of course one could argue they are in all but name (and I would agree), but they have nothing to do with any case of terrorism on the mainland, which is what the above poster was saying.
As to the rest of your post I agree with your point, but those are not colonies (the OP was deleted since but it said that terrorism happens because France still has colonies, which is bullshit on many levels).
This is actually what I use. Great piece of software!
While I agree on the technical aspects, I’ll say that small instances benefit a lot from s3. My single user instance currently has over 25 Gb of media cache… Object storage (hosted on my NAS ) has been a godsend.
This is an accurate summary of the situation. We have a social problem, and a pretty bad one at that, not a terrorism or an immigration problem.
