They have an interview process that combs over, not sure actually…
Anyone who wants to see it https://www.project2025.org/
If you read the PDF that they gave it’s terrifying. Talking about applying to be a Loyalist and only they get federal appointments…and replacing real people in the government.
I really liked the port, but after they fixed all the bugs. When it first came out it would crash on any steamdeck /Linux systems.
The music is fantastic.

www.soundbooththeater.com makes some great works. Its fun to read the series and then hear Jeff do an excellent job afterward.
For government work, I stumbled into it. A friend got me the foot in the door. I really wish I could give you better advice on that but thats the truth. Its really flipping hard to get a job in my local gov area. Gov pay can be bad but it heavily depends on what/where you are. I make around -15% less than my last place, but I get a pension after a couple of years, so it evens out. Plus I dont feel like im selling my soul for a couple of bucks.
For non-profits, I simply searched for them on linkedin/indeed and found a couple in my area looking for software devs. The interview process is about the same as any other place, but they did take a look at my GitHub profile more than some others. At least when I got started.
So just like anything:
Hope that helps!
I felt like that until I started working for a couple of non-profits and then later government. My job actually makes people have a better time in life. Its kinda nice nowadays.
Steam Deck or the miyoo mini plus with onion os would be my picks. I have both and they both scratch an itch in a different way.
My muscle memory just finally got used to ip addr lol.
I was about to say, if ip was read only…
Back when we worked it, the app saved so much time and helped explain so much.
Ive never seen this, thanks! This made my day.
I tried making it work for a month! I even tried to hack it to put retro stuff on it. My tiny gaming pc at the time had better capabilities and was easier to work with…so I gave up on that too. Tried to use the controllers (they were Bluetooth, they could technically work with other machines) but they lagged and felt terrible.
I had an ouya.
That was pretty terrible.
The games were actually really fun…but the console was basically a really slow phone. And the controllers had sticky buttons. But worst of all, all games lagged badly. Like half a second or more on some games.
Interesting, hope it goes well!
Go on universe simulator and find out.
Oh that’s neat, thanks.
Our local city went from a couple of hobbiest to around 20 people getting into it. It’s like a pager lol. But it does have a phone app as well as a web one.
Testing out my meshtastic setup and seeing friends.
I’m in the same boat. I want to like the game and it is fun, but I got stuck with some area with orbs and my save corrupted…one of the orbs just disappeared after 50+ hours and I can’t bring myself to play again and possibly have the same bug pop up. Maybe someday but it’s just such a big game.
American here. We mostly cuss at ours.
In all seriousness, we generally treat people with respect but that’s about it. It’s heavily varries by person.
Linux got me a job later on in life. Made my life a breeze honestly.
I know most people will talk about how Linux/Windows/Mac but one of the not often talked about benefits to learning an OS really well is that it can lead into a high paying job. And Linux allows you to see under the hood as deep as you want…so more likely.
