Twitter is gone. It died the day Elon fired most of its staff.

The 80s Dune movie has a stellar cast and amazing art direction.
Titanic would have been a better movie if they had cast someone other than Leo DiCaprio.
That’s a shame. I’ve had no problems with any of the non-sleep Anker earbuds I’ve purchased.
Many generic meds are made in filthy factories with no quality control.
The FDA is slacking on testing generics for quality assurance, but third parties and other countries are revealing problems.

Why is it that most manufactured pop from before you were born still sounds good, but most manufactured pop after your 40s sounds irritating as fuck? Like, I could dig some “Charleston” from the 1920s but Ashley Simpson is barf-o-rama.
“Lock laces” elastic shoestrings. Gives me a nice fit and I can slip my shoes on and off more easily.
Seems like a bad idea to point this out. You’re just giving more ammo to conservatives and media conglomerates that this hurts business and is “socialism”.
I despise the current system where ICANN lets you slap anything you want on the end of your domain. It means it’s easier to fake a company landing page and it’s a cash grab from an organization that’s supposed to be a non profit. The original domain hierarchy created easily recognizable structure where now it’s just anarchy.
Medicare.com (and their tv commercials) was a good example of misleading people. Some cities and states are using .com sites when they should be using .gov.
The only new TLDs I find useful are .blog and .tv (for streaming sites, not Transylvania). And not many sites are using those.
This isn’t oniony. It’s just great news.
There is nothing clean or safe about three mile island. The place had a meltdown and created tons of nuclear waste. Next you’ll be trying to tell me Fukushima and Chernobyl were safe, clean, and cheap.
Three mile island is outdated tech.
That’s slick.
And product marketing pushes for product renames like this. I wonder how much this will cost Apple in international trademark fees? Apple likes to recycle existing product names to save money (AppleWorks, AppleVision, iBooks, etc). I don’t think Apple Account was an existing trademark.
It was a dumb move. So much more important things to be working on. There was nothing wrong with the “Apple ID” naming. Renaming it just creates unnecessary confusion.
If you buy an electric mower, you never have to change the oil again. Or the spark plug. Or buy gas. Or clean the carburetor.
It costs less in the long run because you don’t start a forest fire that burns down half the state. Should have buried them to begin with.
How is this “oniony”?
Reminds me of ICANN fucking up all the domain names.
CocaCola.com CocaCola.new CocaCola.drink Cocacola.world CocaCola.bev
Etc.
Shameful. One thing that might work for the fediverse is federal institutions running their own Mastadon instances on .gov to move away from announcements on Twitter. You can’t fake .gov domains.
